I had a desktop PC that crashed and burned. I took the whole thing to Geek Squad and bought a new laptop while I was there. For around $100 they pulled all of the info they could get off the desktop, put it on and external hard drive and transferred it all to my new laptop that I left with them overnight. The addition of that passport external hard drive has been a game-changer for me. No more carrying around numerous little flash drives because I can never find the one I need so I just put crap on the next one. Also, it's allowed me to store confidential information on it and lock it up when not needed.

The services I received at geek squad were profession, quick, and completely painless. They were able to restore and move all of my files on a corrupted hard drive and save my data!

Our old Dell files were transferred promptly to a new machine and it was available within the promised time. Geek squad was courteous and professional. Very helpful with each question

A computer crash caused the need to attempt to save my files. All photos and documents were saved correctly. I have not been able to open the PST files.

The Geek Squad did a tremendous job of backing up the files from my old computer and placing onto the new one. All of my important documents and precious photos/videos were saved.

Geek Squad did a very good job backing up data from an old cmputer that was giving me problems. They also reinstalled windows 10 for me which was having problems because of corrupted files.

I had some issues with spyware/malware on my computer. Geek Squad diagnosed the problem, removed the spyware and backed up my data. I am back in business.

Not exactly what I expected, but the job was done. I expected the files to be in the same locations as the old machine.

They are great.....helped me set up my new laptop and installed a new hard drive in my old one. I would suggest making an appointment before showing up at the store.....they are very busy!!

Although you can transfer your own info before you trade in an old laptop for a new one free of charge, having geek squad do this ensures ALL your info is transferred, including your keychain passwords, favorite websites, bookmarks, and preferences! You do have to leave it overnight usually; I left my laptops with Geek Squad at about 6pm and was able to pick it up the next morning! And I actually got an email that it was done the same night, so it can be faster for some! They also walked me through what they did and had me make sure everything was there! Very friendly and helpful, I love Best Buy and Geek Squad!

Transferred all information from my old computer into my new one. Have called them several times in the past few years - always polite and very helpful!
