Great service, even though I didn't use it.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I dropped 2 old PC hard drives off to retrieve pictures. Unfortunately, the drives were too damaged for the Geek Squad to retrieve the data. I was VERY pleased that the Geek Squad refunded my $99 fee as they didn't complete any work on them. I ended up having to send my hard drives off to a data recovery company which was super expensive and saving the Best Buy fee was a great help since we were out so much for the recovery company. I am an Elite Best Buy member, not sure if that played into the refund or not but I am grateful. Thanks Best Buy!

Geek Squad is the Best

Worth it to save memories

Great work by good people

Of special note, while I was waiting my turn I observed a Geek Squad staff member interacting with the customer right next to me, and after a few minutes it was apparent that the customer had some disabilities that made communicating difficult for him. The young Geek Squad person was patient and very courteous and respectful with customer, something not always evident today.
