I find the Geek Squad Services to be great. They delivered the new computer complete with all the data backed up with no problems.

The new hard drive that was suggested and installed by geek squad made my computer work like I had just purchased a new computer.

The service was fast and the geeks were nice, helpful and very respectful. Unfortunately this process only saves documents. The pictures, music and other items that I purchased on my desktop were not transferrable. For all the information that they were unable to transfer I think the service was overpriced. They should offfer a DIY option at 1/4 the price.

No promises were made as to whether the information from my hard drive could be retrieved, only that they would try. They succeeded.

I recently had a communication problem between my laptop and my printer. I was asked to bring the printer in to have it checked out. Because it was heavy, a Geek Squad person helped get into Best Buy and found a place for me to wait while he checked it out. The wait was short, the problem was quickly my car and explained to me. I got the printer back into my car and thought "what would I do without them?"

I had to buy a new computer and wanted my documents and more importantly all my music transferred over from my old computer. When it came down to it, only the songs I purchased from "itunes" were transferred to the new computer! And all the other hundreds of songs I purchased from other sources and/or downloaded from my cds were not there!! Planning to make ANOTHER appointment with Geek Squad to see if they can ALL be transferred over and NOT lost!
