The Geek Squad was backed up when I arrived. They still acknowledged me quickly. When it was my turn we went over the problem and I was given a time to pick up. Everything went smoothly and I was able to get my files from my old computer.

The agent was professional and explained everything.

The Geek Squad members were timely and professional. They informed me of everything they did. They sent up my new laptop and transferred all my old files to my laptop. Once my laptop reached its storage limit they put all my files on a flash drive.

The data transfer was completed sooner than promised. It works well. I was disappointed that this service isn’t covered in my membership. It should have been pointed out that it is not included in the membership.

I think the Data Transfer service that the Geek Squad offers is awesome! They were able to get all my photos and documents off my desktop computer that crashed and put them on my new laptop that I purchased and had it done in about 24 hours! You guys are great!!!!

The greek squad is very informative on what i wanted and very patient . I told them the price i was spending and they showed my pricing range also showed what it does. Very pleased .

The agents were very knowledgeable and were able to explain what was wrong with my laptop and helped me save my info and save pictures. They helped and taught me how to save to my data backup and saved my pictures.

I had just bought a surface pro laptop and needed to have all my data and files transferred from my old laptop to this new one. The Geek squad consists of a lot of different folks who are handling data transfer and computer set up, some were really good and some were not at all equipped to handle the job. The entire job took much longer than anticipated and I was without either laptop for at least 4 days. Even when I brought the new one home, there were still glitches but I was able to fix them. My advice is to find that one Geek squad person who like and communicate just with that person, or else you will get frustrated.

At the time of purchase, I made an appointment to bring the laptop in for transfer of data and setup. I was told it would be same day service. I drove all the way back to Best Buy 4 hours after purchase and dropped it off assuming I would pick it back up in 1 to 2 hours. When I returned to check on the progress, only then did they tell me if would be 3 to 4 days before it would be ready because their tech had already left for the weekend. Had I known I was returning to the store 4 hours after purchase just to drop off the laptop, I would not have made the appointment. It was a 30 minute drive one way. I cannot understand asking a customer to make an appointment to come back just to drop off the device they just purchased in store. It literally only took 10 minutes to check in the device. When I did pick up the device (I did not leave it for service), the customer service rep was kind and understanding and I did appreciate that considering I was not happy with the inconvenience.

The computer works fine, but I'm still trying to find all my genealogy. My husband's lines transferred, but mine didn't. I found some in an old program that transferred, but my updated one I can't find. My son in law helped me look for it and we thought we had it, but realized I've lost a lot of valuable information and will have to type it back in if not found. This will take me many days!!! I still have my old hard drive. Is there anyway for you to transfer my genealogy onto a flashdrive or something from it? I am going to try putting the genealogy program on again in another file and using a flash drive I have from last year. If that doesn't work I will be contacting you. Even with that I will have to double check each person I've worked on to make sure all is updated. Luckily I print out the family group sheets with the notes. I didn't discover this at first so told the Geek squad it was o.k.

Had to take my laptop computer to them to have the hard-drive recovered after a failed software update. These guys were able to remove the hard-drive and pull the necessary information off of it and place it on a thumb-drive in the matter of a few hours.

Was well worth the onvestment to have them move all data from my old PC to my new laptop. When I turned on my new laptop, all was the same as before (except had to reload software). Made picking up where I left off with the old easy and efficient.

We dropped our old and new computer off and the Geek Squad transferred things over and set up our new computer for us.

I would never be able to upload all my data files to a new computer. Geek Squad makes it and effortless process. Highly recommend that when purchasing a new computer, that you allow Geek Squad to transfer all your data files - documents, photos, mail account, etc.

they transferred all my information to a new hard drive and i couldnt be happier. the new hard drive functions well and im happy that all the information was successfully copied. the other hard drive was crashing, so i guess im lucky to get all my information.

Eric Dostal is fantastic. He set up our new computers and transferred all the data from the old machines. I'm sure this is the second time Eric has transferred some of the data as he set up our old machines when they were new. Good job Eric.
