The Geek Squad transferred my Windows 7 computer into my new Windows 10 HP Laptop. They did it overnight. By 11am the next day I got a text to make an appointment to pick it up. Easy to do.

The transfer worked relatively well. I would have liked a more thorough walk through of where my documents were located on the new computer but I have been able to find most of the information I need.

The geek squad was very knowledgeable setting up my new iPad 9th generation. They charge for each thing that is done. You are forced to take the maintenance agreement because charging for everything is too expensive, This is my third iPad at Best Buy. I think set up should not be so expensive when you purchase everything at their store.

I don't know much about this data backup/transfer service that is being provided to me, but, I feel lucky that the service is included with the total tech support membership I have invested in.

Local tech Carlos did not have sufficient software locally to "save" recovered data so had to send to higher level, Data was recovered/saved there and returned and he completed the transfer to new HD.

speedy iPhone backup, didn't miss a thing when transferring

The data back up was performed quickly, so quickly that I wonder whether I shouldn't have tried it myself. But I was staring at a blue screen, so that's where having Geek Squad do it came in handy.

The best reason for buying any technical or semi technical product from BB is their Geek Squad. They moved the info from my old hard drive to the new computer and helped with other tech issues. PLUS,BBuy has very good prices.
