The tech explained fully what their service included before we left our old computer with him. The transfer was done quicker than they told us; and when the Geek Squad tech came to the house, all was in working order.

The Geek Squad technician set up the new computer and transferred all the data from the old machine. All this was done in a very quick time frame which was critical, since I work from home. I would definitely use this service again.

The data that was backed up was several years old. I'm not surprised that I cannot access several of the files with my Windows 10 system. But, I can see that the files are on the drive.

My hard drive had accumulated about 10 years of information so it was worth the cost of geek squad transferring my data to my new computer. I felt I had my life in my old computer, i.e. pictures, files, letters, etc.

My husband's computer stopped working, it would turn on but we couldn't see the screen . Geek squad transferred over everything from his computer.

Data transfer was timely though not complete. Checkout at pickup time proved the problem and was corrected, though it took an extra hour. Not sure how I'll feel about the price after the first year.

Overall, the service was good. Some lack of friendliness, but I accept and understand that from the nature of the folks who provide this type of service. A nerd is a nerd is a nerd and thanks to them for their expertise.

I had finally decided to retire our old PC tower and needed to keep most of the information on the hard drive. I asked Geek Squad to transfer everything to my 1TB backup. The backup was done quickly and I know that my data is safe.

I cheerfully ante up each year to buy the tech support. Staff at Beaverton is well informed and pleasant. The support has been quite good, for my several different computers. I use them to transfer data to each new computer I get.

I've used Best Buy's Geek Squad for several years, and have always found them to provide me with excellent service. I highly recommend adding them to, at least, every major electrical purchase.

Thank heavens for back up retrieval. But reinstalled programs work differently and I'm still trying to find things that were there in different file format.
