When i talked about a new computer with the Geek Squad they said that they do the backups. They have been very helpful over the years so i went with them and everything came out just as they said it would

Geek Squad is extremely helpful and able to explain technical items/terms in a way I can understand. Most questions/repairs/installations take minimal time. They are always courteous and professional.

The agent did a splendid job of transferring all my information from an old laptop to the new one

They did what they said they could do and saved all my pictures to my passport drive from my old computer hard drive.

My poor computer was watered like a plant by accident. I was thrilled when my hard drive from it could be transferred to my new one. Geek Sqaud did a fabulous job saving my material through this transfer.

Follow-up phone calls will vary depending upon who you get help from. I did not give up until I was satisfied. I used my local store Geek Squad in addition to the dial-up Geek Squad. I am 65 and not very tech savvy so some of the problems were based on my lack of ability to explain what I needed to the Geek Squad. I suggest a special Senior Citizen help line staffed by very patient personnel that can walk through the necessary protocols at a beginner's level. You should also be able to contact the previous Geek Squad member for follow-up. Otherwise, you may have to start at the beginning to explain everything again.

My computer would not start. Geek Squad diagnosed the issue and reinstalled Windows. I had backed up my data just 2 weeks earlier.

Great turn around time to complete the transfer. Analized my old computer to see it would be worth keeping. Keep the appointments to see a Geek squad person.

When we bought my wife’s new laptop we needed to transfer all her data ( work related) and pictures to her new laptop. Best Buy Geek Squad transferred everything in record time. Thanks guys!

The salesman told me the 'geek' squad would set up the system at my house ... but for some reason I don't recall I had to take the thing back to the store. Making the appointment was not easy because the 'robot' kept telling me to contact them with my computer ... which was not hooked up! Finally got to the store where the 'geek' was professional ... friendly ... helpful ... and had the thing set up the way I wanted in no time!

Took my parents desktop in for virus removal. They were able to back up the photos as well as remove the malware that was on there. The desktop was returned ahead of schedule. Great customer service.

Love Best Buy--and not the least because of the reasonable Geek Squad protection I always add. Thought I'd lost everything when the laptop died--but the Squad recovered every bit of it.

Best Buy did an awesome job setting up my new computer and transferring the data from my old computer . Well worth the money. When I brought it home it was ready to go , just had to plug it in.

Brought my hp laptop because it kept re-starting. Turns out a hard drive came defective from factory. Had to leave for repairs. Also gemas to back up data and it was there so. This service is great.

Seriously, I am not sure what I would have done without these guys. They helped me from start to finish, and it was a big job! Several appointments over a week and they were kind, knowledgeable and SMART!!!

Well worth the money to have a data back up/transfer before laptop being serviced. You have the information on an external hard drive if anything should happen again in the future. saves time and money from reloading everything.

Purchased my first laptop and dropped off my desktop for a data transfer. It did take a few days to get it back but they let me know up front there were a few people ahead of me, so no worries. Great seevice, satisfied customer.
