Great laptop! One of the best laptops I have ever had. Very solid build, 15.6" full 4K HD screen is just spectacular. This does such a fine job as both laptop and tablet, I found myself switching between modes all the time. Still, I use it more often as a laptop, but its size and weight make the tablet mode a joy with leisurely applications. The aluminium casing makes it look very appealing and stylish. Abyss Black color is more like matt black that you might find on an apple iPhone. The chiclet keyboard has bluish-white back light that looks really cool at night time. The keys feel comfortable and satisfying to use for writing papers or long emails. The track-pad too is satisfyingly tactile, with just the right amount of click. The laptop is slightly on the heavier side, but I am okay with it given the configuration and quality. Performance: i7-8550U mobile processor is just amazing. I use heavy machine learning applications, movie maker tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, etc., that consume a lot of memory. 16GB RAM handles it just perfectly. I have not played a lot of games, but I am sure this laptop should be able to handle it well. Solid state drive in combination with a good processor and RAM gives the best performance. Running multiple applications in the background while I watched a movie on HBO didn't seem to slow anything down. Audio / Video: Looks Great, Sounds Bad. Dell proudly touts the Inspiron's MaxxAudio Pro, but I am not very impressed with the exterior sound. Moreover, the speakers are located at the bottom which is a bad design in my opinion. Summary: The bright, colorful touch screen is great for both work and goofing off. Movies and web content look rich and crisp, and the battery life is sufficient enough to keep you occupied for most of the day. The attractive, backlit keyboard has great spacing and the keys have just enough travel. The speakers just don't complement the rest of the computer. When used as a tablet, it sounds hollow to even untrained ears. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good solid laptop with focus on performance and graphics.

I needed a portable to be my 'main' computer for a couple of months at the trailer/campsite this summer so chose this one. It met all my needs with ease. The fan can be a 'little' noisy but not that bad and performance was all I could hope for.

I needed certain capabilities to practice my coding. I shopped and shopped and finally Best Buy and their staff delivered the perfect computer for the money.
