Overal good laptop but your mileage may vary...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On paper this laptop is a stud. And for the most part, it is. Let's see you get an i7 8550u (the more cost effective, and energy efficient for that matter, version of the 8750), a 2GB Geforce MX130 GPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 256gb ssd. Yes, these specs are nearly top notch for a laptop. However, my experience upon first using this laptop was a mixed bag of sorts. Let me explain. When I first started the using the laptop I was a bit confused. I was met with a lot of sluggishness. Apps would stall, freeze, and lock up. Whenever I would watch videos on youtube, the audio would sometimes become garbled if something was running in the background. Also, toggling back and forth from full screen mode in Youtube to windowed mode would cause a temporary delay which was pretty annoying. I knew that this SHOULD NOT be happening with a laptop with these specs. It made no sense. However, after I spent quite some time allowing Windows to perform all necessary updates, including driver updates, the laptop was hiccup free afterward!!!! If you are experiencing slow downs with this laptop straight out of the box, trust me when I tell you to spend some time allowing the laptop to perform all its updates. This will take about 1 to 2 hours because it has a ton of updates to install out of the box but certainly it's worth it to get the performance you paid for. The build quality on this laptop is pretty good. However, the one thing I cannot stand is that the abyss black finish that Dell used on this laptop is a fingerprint magnet!!!! I have to constantly wipe it down. This is terrible considering this is a mobile product. Other than that it does feel of high quality. The keyboard and trackpad layout is simple. The keyboard is a joy to type on. The keys are also illuminated. I love that the laptop has three 3.0 USB ports unlike some others that only have 2. USB type C is also included as well as an SD card slot reader. The display is where this laptop shines. This laptop houses a gorgeous 4k IPS display powered by a decent 2GB MX130. I wouldn't confidently game on this GPU but it will certainly devour any video based media you throw at it like youtube videos, netflix streaming, rendering, 2D based animation and games, etc. The display is simply gorgeous when playing youtube videos at 4K. The laptop also comes with a stylus/pen which is pretty handy. Since this is a 2-in-1 the display folds back and can be used as a virtual clipboard of sorts. You can easily take notes with the stylus/pens or do some pretty cool artwork. If you're majoring in Art or are simply into art there are tons of software that utilizes the pen to create some pretty amazing digital artwork. Overall, this is a good laptop and would be perfect for someone looking for something more than just a basic laptop to check emails and surf the internet. This laptop is perfect for someone looking to do some light gaming, is a heavy power user when it comes to media consumption, needs a snappy laptop to load applications as quick as possible, is looking for a beautiful 4k display with good color reproduction, and requires a laptop that will handle multi-tasking like a champ.

Not blown away but it is a quality laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box you need to update quite a bit. Runs better after the updates. Audio isn't the greatest but didn't expect much from it.

Good Dell 2 in 1
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Dell Inspiron 15 7000 2in1 is a very good laptop. The documentation is a 7 page Quick Start Guide that covers the basics only. It has a Core I7 - 855U running at 1.80-1.99 GHZ. 16GB memory with a 256GB SSD with 190 free. The video card is a GeForce MX130 with 2GB memory. The screen is a IPS 3840x2160 10 point screen. It has a one year warranty. It comes with Windows 10 home 1709. Setup is easy and the Face recognition (Windows Hello) is very fast - as soon as your face is recognized, The Windows home screen is displayed. You get a “At risk (out of date) Windows message in Update Status very early to download 4 updates”. As usual the Windows Update process is confusing and slow. It has 6 sensors - Accelerometer, Geolocation, Gyrometer, Compass, and Connectivity. It is heavy (almost 5 lbs.) It scores well in the Passmark 9.0 performance tests except for graphics. Scores are as follows: Passmark = 3069.3 68% CPU mark = 8973.1 76% 2D graphics=436.5 28% 3D graphics=1764.9 53% Memory =2231.3 73% Disk Mark =4052.9 83% I did not have any problems running my low end graphics programs but the computer got real warm just above the keyboard. I folded the keyboard up against the back of the screen to use it like a tablet. It worked OK and the keys were disabled but I left the combination on my lap. It got hot on the bottom. Probably because the vents were blocked in my lap. It has a good supply of ports and the active pen works well. The keyboard feels good and it is backlit.

Amazing configuration, best quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product's configurations are hard to beat for the price, it was offered at. The sales executive was very patient to answer all my queries and give me an insight of the vis-à-vis products of other makes.

Excellent laptop for a college student
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent laptop. It is powerful, great screen quality and the 2 in 1 feature is just perfect. The only problem I’m having, is an incompatibility issue with icons and some install menus.

Basic laptop with little curb appeal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this as a gift for Mother's Day to replace my old, slow one. While it has all the programs and functionality I need, it is definitely not the sleekest looking machine. I would have expected a little more for the money. But it should last me a while and it's not like it's a display piece. I also find the slick texture cumbersome to use with the wireless mouse pad.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this for my daughter who is studying mechanical engineering and the software was extremely picky on specs. She is completely happy with this and was even more thrilled it was 2 in 1

Very quick and clear picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased as backup for previous laptop that had a hard drive crash. This one working great, but hard to handle needing 2 laptops to make sure there would be no down time due to failures.

Great computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loving his computer so far. The screen is bright and vivid 4K. It's not too big, but large enough to use for everything and still be portable. Boots fast with the solid-state hard drive.

Not Up To Dell Standards
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Dell Inspiron seemed like a nice laptop in the store, but when I had it at home the love was gone. The LCD 4k display is beautiful, the stylus works great, I liked the keyboard and the touchpad, the price was great, and I liked the amount of USB 3.0 ports. However the fan is very loud, even when it is just sitting there not doing much of anything this thing will throttle up. After a week the left speaker developed a popping noise almost like static. I also wish it had volume controls on the side of the unit, so when you are in tablet mode you can adjust the speakers without having to go into the software settings. The performance of this unit was not what I expected and many times it would hang up just when browsing web pages. I have a Dell Precision 5510 at work and that laptop is super quiet and I have no issues surfing the web. I wanted to like this laptop, but I was not feeling the love so I returned it for the HP Spectre X360 15 4k pretty close to the same specs and I couldn't be happier.
