Wouldn't be surprised if anything else broke in another 2 weeks. The functioning of GPU and SSD itself is great, but the internal mic broke in the span of 2 weeks without me doing anything to it. I had not even dropped it ONCE. The whole reason I got this laptop instead of Razor was that it had a webcam, and it's a shame my warranty won't even cover because it's an "internal problem"

However, after a couple of months of using this, the sound has completely stopped working. I have tried redownloading drivers from the Dell website. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the sound drivers. Nothing has worked. I now have a useless gaming laptop, since I can no longer hear sounds. I would return it, but it is past the return time for best buy.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I usually read through other reviews to make sure I'm not repeating too many talking points/beating a dead horse, or simply to make sure I didn't miss anything. When it comes to the Dell G7 the 4/5 star reviews have pretty much nailed my experience with it. Those experiencing issues (whether it be screen, power, "BSoD", etc etc etc) I'm sorry, but I simply have not had *any* problems in the ~2 weeks of running the G7. Every single game I've thrown at it is handled without fault and beautifully. The playback is seamless, there is no lag whether it be from input peripherals, or loading/booting. Everything is just FAST. Build quality is top not and nothing feels cheap or flimsy. The hinge, track pad, keys, etc etc all have a nice feel to them and that feeling is of quality. Others have mentioned the build specs and I will back them up by stating that finding a similarly powerful laptop would *easily* run you an extra $500 (if not twice that depending on the timing of when you look for parts as they fluctuated so often). The only way you'd be able to knock something out for less than this is to build one yourself. Easy recommendation for the gamer in your life or for yourself if that gamer happens to be you!
