Customers are saying
Customers regard the G7 17.3" gaming laptop favorably for its performance, large screen size, and impressive graphics capabilities, with many also praising the high refresh rate and RGB keyboard. However, significant concerns exist regarding overheating and loud fan noise, while some users also mentioned the limited SSD storage and the laptop's considerable weight. The build quality received mixed reviews, with some finding it solid while others did not. Despite some negative feedback, the price point was generally considered reasonable.

Touch Pad is off center
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I guess if you never use the keyboard, the computer is awesome. However, the touch pad is oversize. Instead of being in the lower center, it is off to the left. What this means is that you can't rest your left hand on the compute while you type. If you do, the cursor goes everywhere and the typing is garbled. There is a button on top that de-activates the touchpad, but you have to place the curser to the right spot of where you want to type before you deactivate the touchpad. I'm really surprised more people have not complained about this, so maybe it is just me. However, I find it extremely annoying and makes the computer much less useful.

Do not buy this or any dell
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dell is a horrible company that enforces horrible products on people. This pc has been garbage since I bought it 10 days ago. I don't think I have had so many issues with a pc but can always be expected from dell. I always had problems with alienwares and it still hasn't changed with a normal Dell. This pc throttles so badly on Games that should run fine. I have an acer i5 with a 1660 that runs twice as good as this. Dell has always been and will always be a disappointment to me. If I had to put a proper price on this... $500 would be it and that's being generous. I've changed numerous settings including thermal settings and it still throttles like crap. I'll never buy another Dell as long as I live. I've finally learned my lesson after the 10th time

worst experience ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.horrible computer. Have had the computer for a couple years and man is it bad. Overheats while writing a word document. Battery life is now no longer existent, had to get a new battery but is locked behind specialized screws. Left side of the keyboard now barely works even though it has been sitting on my desk since I got it. To get the keys to work, I have to slam my hand on my keyboard for 5 minutes before it accepts the input. Overall, I would suggest either getting a chrome book and a desktop, or something different all together.

Don't buy this laptop open-box
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Be careful when buying this laptop, especially open-box. Just drove 2 hours to get the only one nearby me, which was open box excellent, and when I got home I immediately noticed they sold me a display laptop, the screen had huge burnt-in images covering the entire screen, specifically the display images that they put on the display laptops in store to show you the specs. Best Buy was no help, had to return it, huge waste of time and money.
