Plenty of power for all of her rendering and runs her design programs like a champ!! The big 17.3" screen is so nice to use.

It is so fast that I sometimes cannot keep up. And the magnificent large clear screen is more than I could have imagined. I love, love, love my Dell!

A little loud compared to a desktop, but that is to be expected with this kind of performance in a laptop. Extremely satisfied.

Also the left and right corners are incredibly sharp so if you try and move the laptop by placing you hands on the from to corners it is actually painful due to how pointed the front corners are. There are better options currently with Black Friday deals coming.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The laptop is good to gamer, I tested it without the updates and it was really overheating was noticeable, when updating the bios and other components it improved significantly, the bad thing is that if you want to transport it in your backpack you have to get protection like a micro sheet fiber because the contact of the keyboard and the screen scratches it, unfortunately mine was scratched.

Thermal throtteling hinders gaming performance

Touchpad is large and very soft to touch. Keyboard is very comfortable to type on. Cons Thermal throttling causes frame rate to drop dramatically after playing a game like Fortnite on epic settings for about 10-15mins. Temperture gets very hot and the speaker area gets too hot to touch after intense gaming for about 10-15mins.

The problem the computer has is overheating and the subsequent decrease of speed. It didn’t take long to overheat. It even overheated with 4 year old games. Disappointed. Returned and exchanged the laptop.

Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear you are enjoying your G7 by most accounts. If system thermals are of concern, you can prioritize cooling by opening the Alienware Command Center application that came pre-installed with your device and select the 'Cool' thermal profile.
Keep in mind that our G7 follows 10th generation Intel performance design guidelines, which can lead CPU temperatures to reach 100°C to output top in-game performance. We fully warrant the product under these conditions. If you see CPU temperatures rising beyond 100°C on Alienware Command Center, please contact Dell support and they would be more than happy to assist.

The appearance is beautiful, the RGB lighting adds that special appeal, the connections on the back make it stylish and functional, hardware make it run circles around the competition, the game play is flawless, lag free, and the graphics are outstanding. And, thats just the gaming part. If you want to use it for everyday productivity, the hardware and software are more than capable. I cant say enough about this laptop.... but in short, it worth every dollar.. go and buy one.
