Great PC!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from an Apple only user, this computer is amazing! I was unsure about switching to Windows from Apple but it has been amazing. This computer's 2 in 1 feature is great and super durable! It looks super sleek and has an anti smudge look so it always looks super clean!

Works good, but took some work to get there
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading a few reviews online, ordered and open box of this guy. Even knowing about the spotty Wi-Fi issue - well, that happens to others right? Wrong. Out of the box, the wi-fi had issues. During Windows 10 setup, after selecting a connection, the Wi-Fi would drop and didn't find any other connections at all. That led Windows stuck at the blue screen with a spinning circle. Had to call Dell support. Over the phone, they helped to run a hardware diagnose and everything was fine. We then proceeded to reinstalling windows. After that done, completed windows setup without an internet connection and used another computer to download the latest version of the Wi-Fi driver. When that installed, all was good, until the Bluetooth started behaving the same way. Another driver needed to be downloaded and installed. From unboxing to ready to use.. about 4 hours. The machine is fast, elegant and the screen is awesome. Just be aware that these are shipping with old drivers that can give you a bit of a headache when just out of the box, but, after these are fixed, this is totally worth for the price. I do mostly web browsing, video and music streaming, some creating work with MS Publisher and gaming with Diablo 3 and StarCraft. it handles all that very well.

Wifi Issues. Otherwise Wonderful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After weeks of research, I should have looked into the reviews. I bought this laptop open-box and now I know why. Same problem as everyone else. The Wifi Adapter will not stay connected for more than a minute at a time. Sometimes it reconnects, other times it's just gone. It's not that I have a Wifi issue. The Wifi Device totally disconnects, it's not listed in the Network adapters section at all. I was so excited, then terribly disappointed.

Great laptop!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop does everything I want. Nice 1080p screen, fast processor, 8gb of ram and a SSD drive and windows 10 is nice too. The screen driver crash & recover is an easy fix just google or find on YouTube. No complaints with my purchase, looks great with the Dell 23 IPS monitor.

Needs Immediate Updates
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The second time this computer started the internet connection became erratic. The solution was to run the "Dell Update" in order to receive the correct driver for the WIFI card. The Video card also started to fail and was fixed by going into the control panel to the devices section and then to the display header and right clicking and updating the driver for the video card. Since fixing these two issues, the computer runs well with excellent battery life. Since the battery is not easily replaceable you will need to get a 19.5V computer power pack for extended use away from an outlet.

Great laptop for price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My 8yr old sony vaio finally died. After asking my computer tech friends on what specs to look for. This laptop fit all the requirements. I've had it for a week and it hasn't disappointed me yet.

Defective Wifi
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The wifi adapters are defective on these new Dell models. I bought this, got it home and went through the initial setup. After about 2 minutes it would drop the wifi connection, and state that no networks are available. Returned it, and exchanged for another new laptop. Same exact issue. Returned that also. Three trips to Best Buy in the same day. Not fun. I told the customer service reps to pull these from the shelves. Too bad, this really has the perfect specs for a small laptop.

Wifi Issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I only had this computer for one day. I returned it due to having issues where I could not get on Wifi. I read about different fixes online but could not get any of them to work for me. It popped up some error about drivers several times but I couldn't update them because I couldn't get online. I also couldn't get the network to show up long enough to try the switch off IPv6 thing. I did notice that this is a huge issue with this laptop. I would strongly advise against wasting your time. Too bad because it was a very nice looking machine.

Great all around Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a software developer and bought this laptop to be able to run Android Studios 2.1. It runs it flawlessly so far. I am also a gamer and have been able to play Big Fish games on it as well as Blizzard games like StarCraft and Diablo 2 with the expansion. I have not tried Starcraft 2 or other higher end games. Right now, it is running quite a bit cooler with the SSD than a HDD. I will have more to say later, but right now I am very impressed. I have not used any of the features like the touch screen or tablet form, so I am waiting with anticipation. From the store i purchased it from the associate that helped me was very helpful. Also, I purchased the Open-Boxed item with a 2 Yr Geek Squad Service agreement. I have had much success with the opened box items. I have also found the service agreements on laptops to be invaluable as almost all of them needed service two or three times in that time frame.

WiFi headache out of the box
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my wife for Christmas and had a disappointing Christmas morning as we could not get the wifi to work. I updated the network adapter driver, changed power-saving settings to full performance, and did everything else I could think of to get it to finally connect, only to have it fail the next morning. So, I went to Best Buy and told them it was defective. They gave a new one right away. Took it home, got it to work after updating the drivers, and now I am back to square one. THE WIFI KEEPS ON FAILING. The adapter disappears from the devices manager and there is no way to get online. I love Best Buy. I love Dell. But this computer is a lemon.

Will need to get new drivers right out of the box
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only buy this computer if you don't mind spending the first day downloading new drivers and trying to get it to work after the automatic updates screw everything up. I bought this yesterday and returned it the same day. It looked good in the store. It is light and compact with a nice crisp vibrant screen. The keyboard has a nice feel and is responsive. The touch pad feels a little flimsy but is also responsive. Once I got it home and turned it on the updates of death started. This thing had been out of the box for 2 min and already there were critical updates. I wasn't given the option to update. They started automatically. Then of course I lost my wifi connection. The updates had screwed up the wifi adaptor. I was told that I had to download new drivers for the wifi adaptor. So now I have to find an ethernet cable so I can get online to download new drivers for a laptop I have had out of the box for 5 minutes? I bought this computer because it is cheaper than a mac. I returned it and got a mac instead. This is typical of PC's. I have used mac's at home with multiple updates and never had a problem.

Avoid!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Reviews made this seem like a good computer. No. Exchanged it three times, each time cause the WiFi chip had issues; e.g. connects/disconnects, computer doesn't see a WiFi chip, goes into airplane mode by itself, etc. At the final return, I discovered a friend of mine from high school worked at Geek Squad and he mentioned how horrible the 7 Series were and how they just get returned left and right cause of various problems. This laptop needs to be removed from your assortment.

A little different
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cool functions with the flip and touch screen. A little difficult to upload photos from my I phone but could just be me. A little different from my old Sony, but all in all for the $ it's a good buy.

Eh
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On paper this looks like a great value and like many thought it was too good to pass up. I didn't have any wifi issues like so many others experienced. I had speed and quality of screen issues. My 5 yr old i3 Toshiba runs circles around thus machine. The colors were extremely faded and again my trubrite Toshiba screen was amazing if not glorious compared to this. Thought I might have gotten a dud but if you read th3 Amazon reviews on this you'll realize that it may just not be in the cards for this vintage of Dell 2 in 1. Back to the drawing board...thinking Lenovo.

Death wifi
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When one buys a computer, one should not expect to jump through hoops in order to get it to perform actions a simple Laptop can. This computer has serious wifi issues and is a complete pain. Had an embarrassing Christmas giving this as a gift when it could not even perform correctly. Refund please.
