Overheats, dont buy it

Not a bad laptop at all!

Solid so far, lightweight, fast enough for my needs of school and home stuff. I do big spreadsheets and typically have multiple windows open at once, handles it just fine. Working through apps and etc is a little different for me, the only thing i noticed that i can't figure out and is annoying is it places chrome and a couple other things on my desktop and it won't let me remove them as a shortcut, other than that is a solid laptop, especially for the price point.

Here are the steps to help improve the battery performance of your laptop:
1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
2. On the options list, click Power Options.
3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built-in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.
a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
b) If running Cortana, type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
c) Turn the Battery Saver On or Off.

Cheap... get what you pay for.

System came up in a Chinese language on the screen. Attempted numerous recoveries and creation of at least 3 different recovery media's Same result. Head cashier at Best Buy initially refused to accept it back, stating I had entered wrong language. When I asked her certifications in IT, she said none. I rattled off the 8 I have and said "so where did make the mistake again?". Only then did she issue a refund.

Selling defective products they get as returns

Purchased a laptop during black Fri sales. Thought I would save a few bucks and purchased an " opened box" listed as excellent condition. Received the laptop and it would not boot up, tried everything nothing worked. Apparently best buy just gets defective products back and sells them as "opened boxes". Called CS they basically said return the old one and could purchase a new one which was now not on sale for 200.00 more. They told me they couldn't match the sale price even though they sold me a defective product. Told CS that I will never purchase from bast buy again they basically said "sorry to hear that, is there anything else I can help you with" have a nice day. WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER PRODUCT FROM BEST BUY AGAIN PERIOD. Already destroyed my card and gonna close my account. See ya!!!

Does Not Work Well With Capture Cards At All

Audio constantly cuts in and out. Tried with both Mirabox and El Gato capture cards and OBS software and problem is same for both. No issues when I use my HP laptop which has a much lower I3 processor. Dell Support unistalled/reinstalled the Cirrus Audio Driver and problem was fixed for an hour or so. When I unplugged the capture card the problem returned, which then necessitated another uninstall/reinstall of the audio driver. Unbelievable that Dell has not bothered looking into a fix for this problem. STAY AWAY if you are planning to use this with a capture card! Checked web and issue is well known and Dell has yet to do anything about it. Returning this and getting an HP. Complete garbage.

As of 11/22, every sold model is a brick
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box, the Windows 11 startup guide cannot detect any available WiFi. Why? Because the installed driver needs to be updated. The problem is that there's no way to install a driver on a computer that comes pre-loaded with Windows 11 in S mode, because disabling S mode requires one access the Microsoft store, which requires WiFi. I have not used a PC/Windows outside of an office setting since 2000, and this experience reminded me why. I never want to hear a complaint about Apple's "walled garden" again.
