Here are the steps to troubleshoot your heating issue:
1. Update the system BIOS.
2. Configure Alienware Command Center.
• Open Alienware Command Center
• Set the Active System Theme - Thermal as Performance Mode
3. When the system boots up, using the preinstalled software Dell SupportAssist run the stress test.
• Dell SupportAssist > Hardware Checkup > CPU > CPU stress test
4. Launch the Alienware Command Center, go to Fusion, and monitor the CPU frequency.
• The CPU peak temperature should be less than or equal to (≤) 100 ℃
• When under high stress, the system average temperature can be expected to be less than (≤) 100 ℃
• Note: The CPU average temperature can be expected to reach 95 ℃ under cool mode for the Alienware m15, m17, and x17 systems

Since moving to another state, no longer have a store nearby. Shopped online and it was shipped to my home in great condition and timely. Easy to set up and came with Windows 11.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Computer came almost a week late, the employee that helped me with my purchase had me set up a in store appointment to get the software installed, when I got to the appointment geek squad informed me of the $200 charge to put Microsoft on the computer (no thanks can do myself very easily) wish I didn’t listen to the employee and saved myself the hour drive. After 2 days of having the computer the battery stopped holding a charge and would immediately shut off if disconnected from the charger.

Here are the steps to help improve the battery performance of your laptop:
1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
2. On the options list, click Power Options.
3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built-in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.
a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
b) If running Cortana, type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
c) Turn the Battery Saver On or Off.
d) Additional settings are available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
e) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
f) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further the Battery Saver feature.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My previous computer (an HP) was equipped with Windows 10, and the Dell computer that I purchased at Best Buy has Windows 11 with which I'm not yet familiar, so I'm not too pleased with it (yet). I suppose that once I become familiar with it, I'll be more adept with it, but in the meantime, I'm having some difficulties with it. I'm 95 years old, and as the saying goes "You can'r teach an old dog new tricks", but I intend to prove that saying incorrect. However, in the meantime, I'm not too pleased with it.
