Really buggy for a Dell
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been really frustrated with this computer. It has great hardware specs, and a nice screen, but has been buggy since day one. I generally would not recommend it, and *especially* not to someone who isn't tech-savvy. I've had issues connecting to wifi reliably and using the headphone jack and camera due to driver issues. Basically, everything that can have gone wrong has gone wrong within the first few weeks. It's really disappointing to spend 1k+ on a computer just to have all these problems right off the bat. I've had great experiences with Dell in the past, so this is a huge surprise. I've already sunk a couple of hours on the phone with Dell support, have updated the BIOS + all the drivers, and am just having new and different issues. Also, aesthetically, the case of the computer picks up fingerprints like nothing else. It looks great, *until* you touch it. So, if that is an issue for you, might want to stay away from this one.

Don't buy this
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worst decision ever. The laptop over heats, and the screen is not steady sometimes. Takes a long time to load and the computer crashes at some point. Heats as if it's a heater. Don't buy it. It's not even a year and with that price this quality is disgusting.

Posted .Dear Sagun,
We would like to thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are not too happy with your Dell Inspiron 7306 2-in-1 laptop because its screen doesn’t work as you expected, it is overheating, performing slowly, and crashing. This is certainly not the experience that we like to hear from our customers. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to help improve our current and future products.
We recommend making sure drivers for this product are updated. I have provided a link to the drivers and downloads page where you can check for any applicable updates.
Drivers and Downloads Page: https://dell.to/3W0ZgMs

1. Run the automated tools in SupportAssist to ensure that the drivers and BIOS are up to date and your computer is optimized
2. Verify display or video issue on an external monitor
3. Check for physical damage on the LCD screen
4. Run hardware diagnostics on the LCD screen
5. Verify the display or video issue in Windows Safe Mode
6. Download and install Microsoft Windows Updates
7. Change the video or display settings, and adjust the brightness
8. Touch screen troubleshooting
9. Run a Video Stress Test using Dell SupportAssist
10. Perform a Windows System Restore
11. Restore the computer to factory defaults
The whole article on this subject can be found here:
How to Troubleshoot Display or Video Issues on a Dell Laptop: https://dell.to/3pE7wm4
For the issues with crashing, I have provided a link below to help troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
1. Run a Computer Diagnostic. To determine if your computer is experiencing a hardware problem, run the Dell Preboot System Assessment (PSA) Diagnostics. For information on how to run Diagnostics, and to determine the issue, refer to Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2iaiujA
2. Check Safe Mode for Symptoms. To boot into safe mode, please follow the instructions below:
a) Start the computer.
b) Tap 'F8' on the keyboard immediately and every one second until the Dell logo screen disappears. From there you will see the Windows Advanced Options Menu on the screen. (If the Windows Advanced Options Menu does not appear, restart the system and try again.)
c) Select Safe mode with Networking and press Enter.
d) Log on as the administrator or as a user with administrative access.
e) Open applications and test the computer in safe mode. If the symptoms exist in safe mode, please continue the troubleshooting steps in this article. If the symptoms do not exist in safe mode, the issue is likely related to a driver or software and you may wish to complete step 3 to see if you are able to resolve the lockups or freezing.
3. Check for Malware. Malware (Virus, Spyware, etc.) can definitely cause a Windows system to lock up or appear to hang. To check for malware on your system and to ensure that your computer is up to date on security software, visit Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2wWP1zI
The computer restarts or shuts down intermittently, locks up, stops responding or an error occurs: https://dell.to/3GX6BVf
There are several ways to help improve the performance of your computer if it is running slower than you expected it to. We'd recommend the following steps to help improve your computer's overall performance and speed:
1. Restart your computer regularly.
2. Run the automated tools provided in the SupportAssist Tool.
3. Run a complete hardware diagnostic test.
4. Scan your computer for malware.
5. Restore your Dell computer using Windows System Restore.
6. Reinstall Microsoft Windows.
7. Ensure Windows Update and BIOS is up-to-date.
8. Run Windows Task Manager to check if any device usage over 90%. If yes, try to End Task to some processes which use higher resource.

Dell has released an Intel Power Management Utility to help with the overheating that you may be experiencing on your computer. For this package to take effect, the system power plan must be set to Balanced under the Additional Power Settings. Also, the Power Mode option that is displayed when you click the battery icon, should be set to Better Performance. This package only takes effect on AC power and not on battery power. The Intel Power Management Utility can be found here - http://dell.to/3tStRgX.

Poor quality
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really tried so hard to get this device to work. Right from unboxing the device, it was unstable. The audio and mike suddenly stopped working and I had to reinstall the drivers. Then constant error messages about something to do with the hard drive and in general, slow. Not to mention bitlocker auto activating on signing in. A normal reset worked fine, but did nothing to fix any of this. A factory reset, however, bricked my laptop. Dell support was no help whatsoever. Pay $100 for software support on a laptop that is one day old? No thanks. Returned. Pros: beautiful laptop with 4k screen, an amazing pen garage / active pen and windows hello camera. Con: unstable, blue screen, bitlocker

1. At the desktop, click the Search the web and Windows box and type "problem reports".
2. Select View all problem reports to view a list of errors that have occurred on your computer and possible solutions for them, such as updating drivers, flashing your system BIOS, or checking for updates to the software.
3. Under the Source column, look for Windows and under Summary, look for Shut down unexpectedly.
4. Right-click the line item and select Check for a solution.

Dell started the fire
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a terrible product. The laptop is good if you’re only running one program. Any more than that will cause the laptop to overheat. I’ve had it for less than a month and the dang thing even overheats when charging. Not worth buying look for another brand.

Posted .Hello Casey,
Thank you for your feedback and review. We can understand your frustration with your laptop overheating. We would love to help right away! Below are steps that can help with overheating.
1. Dell does not recommend placing portable systems directly on your lap. Due to reductions in the thickness of modern portable systems, heat transfer can be an issue.
2. Using a portable system (Laptop) on a hard, flat, non-cloth surface will increase airflow and reduce heat from underneath and inside the system.
Using the portable system on a blanket, pillow, or other types of cloth will cover up the fan cause the computer to overheat and can cause permanent damage.
3. It is recommended to use the portable system in a Room temperature of 0°C to 35°C (32°F to 95°F) with a Humidity level no greater than 90%.
4. Use compressed air to clean the vents on a regular basis.
5. Using a cooling pad can decrease heat and increase performance.
6. If you want to know the temperature limitations for your system, go to the Dell Support Website, look up your system model then open the user guide under the manuals link.
7. One option to help with the overheating concern is to make sure that your BIOS is up to date. You can download the update here: https://dell.to/3i0sFEe.
This article contains further details that can help with your overheating: http://dell.to/2uJ8AdG. If you require further assistance with your laptop still getting hot after the update, please contact Dell Support at your earliest convenience at 1-800-264-9896.

Probably not
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this laptop looks great from a tech standpoint, however, the trackpad doesn't work properly if your right hand is resting on the landing pad. Although this laptop says it supports WIN 11, it does not drag and drop after loading WIN 11. I would not recommend this laptop.

Posted .Dear Satisfied,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your review. We sincerely apologize for the issues you have had with your Inspiron 7306 2 in 1. Some Notebooks and Tablets with Keyboards have added gesture features to the touchpad hardware and drivers. A few of these features are two or three-finger scrolling, pinch zoom, circle zoom, rotate, and swiping. These new features may be the reason for the erratic cursor movement since most are turned on by default. You can disable or modify the way the features work in the touchpad driver properties. Here are some tips to modify these settings:
1. In the Search box, type main.cpl.
2. Touch or click main.cpl in the list of programs.
3. Touch or click the Dell Touchpad tab.
4. Touch or click on the picture of the touchpad.
5. Touch or click Gestures (depending on your computer there may not be a Gestures option).
6. Change the options as preferred.
7. Touch or click Save.
8. Touch or click the X in the upper-right corner to close the Dell Touchpad Utility.
9. Touch or click OK on the Mouse Properties window.
10. If the touchpad still does not work after following the preceding steps, refer to Dell Knowledge Base article - http://dell.to/2iaiujA.
