I am familiar with the operating system of Dell, what I use at work. Nice slim design, easy to carry around. Love the 2-in-1 feature for sitting on my lap while watching TV on the sofa. Very fast, and love the updates to ensure my laptop is operating at it's full capacity.

The speaker makes a loud popping sound occasionally, and the touchpad keeps sticking and not moving. It even did this for the service man at Best Buy, and he commented how strange that was. He suggested I leave it for a few days so he could run diagnostics, but I teach online most days and haven’t had a chance yet. It’s frustrating because I didn’t pay $1500 to have to restart my computer in the middle of a project each day so the touchpad would work again.

It’s more like the dells and thistles because this computer should not have been able to pass production. The program for the so called illuminating graphics crashed the computer all the time unless you manually turn it off. It lags often getting frozen when tending programs. I couldn’t effectively build a Virtual Machine without it freezing and me having to reset the whole thing to try and continue but what is the point. I wish I would have read more of the reviews for this instead of buying so impulsively because this is the definition of bad choices. At 1500+ I expected a lot more instead I was stuck full of regret

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.While the display and overall speed and performance of the laptop is satisfactory, I have already experienced issues, which have been frustrating and catastrophic, at times. First, I believe there may be an issue with the pre-installed image, since the system crashes with a reported memory error and then needs to be rebooted. This has happened at critical times, when I am supposed to be joining a video conferencing call for a job interview; so, that qualifies as catastrophic, to me. Scans have shown no hardware issues and have not identified a cause, so it is quite possibly software-related. I have updated all drivers and OS patches to current. Second, which is a little more of an annoyance, the system occasionally, "gets confused", with the user input devices and the mouse and/or touch pad stop responding. If I reboot, it seems to behave for a while. Driver updates have not resolved the issue. Since hardware scans appear to show no identifiable problem, both issues are likely caused by Windows / software / drivers; however, after multiple support calls, it has not been resolved.

This process will not only perform diagnostics to determine what may be causing the crashes but also install the latest updates and drivers.
1. Restart your computer regularly
2. Run the automated tools provided in the SupportAssist tool
3. Run a complete hardware diagnostic test
4. Scan your computer for malware
5. Restore your Dell computer using Windows System Restore
6. Reinstall Microsoft Windows

Holds a charge for at least 2 days and charges quickly. Lightweight and easily transports. The pen is awesome, and certainly helps navigate with a tap, doesn’t need much force!

Streaming video is very trouble free However that is where the good kinda meshes in with the bad constant blue screen having you update your drivers. only for it to crash about a minute or two into using the laptop after Restarting. much of the frustration with the laptop comes from the dreaded blue screen and having to update things at a constant so it is working efficiently. Even when updating or attempting to update laptop it will have some sort of issue.. (past laptops have been HP) I can see now for good reason. Dell has bugs it needs to fix or i just bought the not so good laptop.

Below I have provided steps to help troubleshoot and resolve the blue screen errors issue and the full article link.
1. At the desktop, click the Search the web and Windows box and type ""problem reports"".
2. Select View all problem reports to view a list of errors that have occurred on your computer and possible solutions for them, such as updating drivers, flashing your system BIOS, or checking for updates to the software.
3. Under the Source column, look for Windows and under Summary, look for Shut down unexpectedly.
4. Right-click the line item and select Check for a solution.

Resolutions
1. Run a Computer Diagnostic. To determine if your computer is experiencing a hardware problem, run the Dell Preboot System Assessment (PSA) Diagnostics. For information on how to run Diagnostics, and to determine the issue, refer to Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2iaiujA
2. Check Safe Mode for Symptoms. To boot into safe mode, please follow the instructions below:
a) Start the computer.
b) Tap 'F8' on the keyboard immediately and every one second until the Dell logo screen disappears. From there you will see the Windows Advanced Options Menu on the screen. (If the Windows Advanced Options Menu does not appear, restart the system and try again.)
c) Select Safe mode with Networking and press Enter.
d) Log on as the administrator or as a user with administrative access.
e) Open applications and test the computer in safe mode. If the symptoms exist in safe mode, please continue the troubleshooting steps in this article. If the symptoms do not exist in safe mode, the issue is likely related to a driver or software and you may wish to complete step 3 to see if you are able to resolve the lockups or freezing.
3. Check for Malware. Malware (Virus, Spyware, etc.) can definitely cause a Windows system to lock up or appear to hang. To check for malware on your system and to ensure that your computer is up to date on security software, visit Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2wWP1zI

The screen is big enough for me to have multiple windows open at the same time for viewing. The only critique I have is that the touchpad lags a bit and the cursor freezes when you go from using touchscreen to the pad.
