I went into the store and spent some time with the salesman he showed me a few others but i went with my original plan and purchased this one. It's been about a month and I have not had any issues with this laptop. It runs fast graphics are nice. It was definitely worth the buy.

Stay away from this laptop

Thankfully Beat Buy honored their retuned policy and I was able to return. Started to get a Blue screen stating Windows didn’t lock properly on the 3rd day. That error occurred at least once a day for the next 7 days. Dell offered nothing but to reinstall Windows. Running some diagnostics uncovered several other errors with the laptop. When I tried to wipe the laptop, it took over 9 hours and it errored out because it over heated. Called dell and they informed me that taking 8-9 hours for a laptop to factory reset was quite normal. It’s a shame though because the keyboard was awesome. Great display. Nice speed.

Thank you for your feedback and response. We apologize for your experience dealing with blue screen issues. We will use your feedback to help with improvements. We have provided steps below that can assist with your blue screen issues if needed in the future.
1. At the desktop, click the Search the web and Windows box and type ""problem reports"".
2. Select View all problem reports to view a list of errors that have occurred on your computer and possible solutions for them, such as updating drivers, flashing your system BIOS, or checking for updates to the software.
3. Under the Source column, look for Windows and under Summary, look for Shut down unexpectedly.
4. Right-click the line item and select Check for a solution.
5. We'd also suggest checking to make sure that your software and drivers are up to date on Dell's Product Page - http://dell.to/3hmUpRy

Got a deal because of the last one and open box purchase. I have seen the screen flicker a few times, so I want to get this checked out before the factory/store warranty expires (didn't purchase an extended warranty for this laptop) this is my second Dell laptop purchase in last three years

Loads programs fast and has large storage device. I bought a DVD drive too to access and load other media. Screen is awesome and touch screen too. Have not used the pen yet but will be great for marking up pics and docs. I will recommend to others. This repaced a laptop purchased 7 years ago. Hopefully this will last. Build seems to be good.

Only thing that’s a bit annoying is the fan noise, but with a i7 and processor intensive activities the fan is a bit loud. 4K display is beautiful but really helps with eye strain too (at least for me)

Vibrant color display and the 15” screen size is perfect. The finger print security feature is cool and convenient. The 2n1 feature is very cool and allows me to use Zwift while cycling indoors and has a very similar feel and functionality of a tablet.

Don’t buy anything but Dell

Purchased a different brand originally bc it was less expensive… and did not like it. At all. Went back to Dell within the two week return window. Remembered why I love Dell products. This laptop is great. Works perfectly. Fast. Looks good. I’m very happy now. Will not buy another Heavier Product ever again.

What difference. It’s fast and capable to do everything from work to movies to gaming. Very portable and doesn’t feel extremely fragile. Would highly recommend!

Since you are going to get stuck with Microsoft, be careful what you opt into when you first log-in. My advice, stay away from OneDrive and all the bluster about the cloud, UNLESS, you are an expert in multiple device syncing, and multiple server account management.

Dell Inspiron 7000 laptop

The laptop is touch screen so very easy to use either as a touch or key strokes. The battery life has lasted for several days. The laptop is great and I would recommend to anyone.
