Very frustrating

Bought a Dell because I have had good luck in the past with them, however that wasn’t the case with this one. Tried to call customer service multiple times with no resolve-very frustrating.

Was seriously considering Cyberpower, Razer, HP and ASUS as competition. My sales rep on the floor worked with a Geek Squad rep to answer all my questions - some pretty technical ones on memory types installed, 4K issues and SSD specifications. I was pleasantly surprised. Got this unit home and went through setup. No issues at all. Keyboard has good response and the screen is fantastic - no dead pixels. The only possible issue that I am still keeping an eye out for is how the IRIS Xe Max performance is impacted by updates as they come out... we shall see. As it stands right now, this is a great little unit. Got it on sale and threw it on my Best Buy card for more savings. Hope this helps! Oh, by the way, I contacted Dell and was told that store-bought units would not get Dell support coverage offers separately. Sounded odd. However, after my unit installed updates, it then offered Dell support services in the laptop's own app at a cheaper rate that what is advertised online - so look for that.

Don’t buy

From day one I regretted buying a Dell if this is one of their top models. I previously had Lenovo’s. The dell is noticing you slow starting up, gets hot and is always crunching. It crashed 3 times and Dell tech support was useless. The only good feature was the built in pen which I’ll miss. After numerous attempts to fix it Bestbuy did the right thing and took it back.

No issues until last week. Screen would not come on. After trying all the various trouble shooting solutions without success, I called Dell. Was determined a new mother board was needed. Had a service technician out to my house within 3 days and replaced system board. So far no issues. Will see how long this one lasts.

It’s fast and I can have apt of screens open and it never affects the speed. The only problem I found was the key board stopped working because the driver needed updated but if don’t tell you that. And I lost my pen and it’s very hard to find the one that charges in the laptop.

Dell 7000

It worked fine for about 3 weeks and then I started getting the BSOD that others have talked about. I ran through all the troubleshooting steps and nothing has fixed the issue. It just randomly shuts down about every other day. I even did a reset of the computer but still get the BSOD. One day it died on my kid, I took it to best buy who worked on it but it still goes blank. Buyer beware of this laptop, it is not cheap, and it’s not a good investment. Many users mentioned that it is a problem with the dedicated graphics card and disabling it has helped with their issues. So, I guess I shall do likewise

1. At the desktop, click the Search the web and Windows box and type ""problem reports"".
2. Select View all problem reports to view a list of errors that have occurred on your computer and possible solutions for them, such as updating drivers, flashing your system BIOS, or checking for updates to the software.
3. Under the Source column, look for Windows and under Summary, look for Shut down unexpectedly.
4. Right-click the line item and select Check for a solution.
We'd also suggest checking to make sure that your software and drivers are up to date on Dell's Product Page - http://dell.to/3hmUpRy.

Exactly what we needed. Works Great!

The keyboard is black with white letters, which will also light up when needed. Most of the silver keyboards had no contrast between the keys and letters. Even when lit the letters were difficult to see. Especially the smaller function keys at the top. This laptop has a nice large screen that is useful for split-screen work and multiple tabs open to view. We are using it for school work and family enjoyment. Lots of extra features, such as the touch screen, the stylus, and the easy login with "Windows Hello." And the Geek Squad whenever help is needed with all our devices! Thanks!

Not compatible with windows 11.

Ran in to issue with the intel xe graphics, it is incompatible and dell could not fix it. Had to return it and will likely get a different laptop with nvidia or amd graphics.

Solid laptop

The graphics are good enough to play HD movies without problems, even on the 4K screen of this laptop. It is a few hundred dollars more than other laptops, but the 4K screen makes it worthwhile.

With the Intel Core I7 processor it is very fast and perfect for my college coursework. The touch screen feature is nice and it is easily used as a notebook also. Very satisfied.
