Ok Computer with Touchpad Issues

The touchpad is horrible and doesn't work well when switching between laptop and tablet mode. The touch pad was unresponsive. Buying a bluetooth mouse helped a little, but you should have to do that. The processing performance of the computer is good, which is why I didn't return it. I'm hoping Dell pushes an update to fix the touchpad. Battery duration is decent. Didn't notice a speed improvement using the Optane memory. Might be a marketing gimic.

The first troubleshooting step would be to check if the Dell 2-in-1 laptop is stuck in tablet mode. If the laptop is in tablet mode, switch it back to laptop mode. The next step would be to test an external mouse and keyboard on the laptop. If these work, then updating the BIOS, Chipset, and Input Device Driver can help resolve the issue. Dell Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 15.6" UHD Touch Screen

I use the older one for my music production studio. This new one is being used for software development. The i7 gives me the processing power I need, The 4K video is awesome. The 1TB SSD storage is very fast - at least 5 times faster than an older ASUS 1TB HD system I have. My only complaint is that the power port is on the left side rather than the back. I've had problems with side-mounted power ports failing, so purchase of the extended warranty is recommended.

However you need to use both hands to raise the screen. Very easy to mistakenly close cover to security lens. If this happens the facial recognition boot up will not work. I do not like the left centered key board.

Meh, maybe I expected too much?

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent unit... however there is no option for ram upgrades... and it has regularly had memory failures leading to blue screen restarts, which testing shows all hardware functioning normally. Tried a factory rebuild, suspecting software conflicts, but no change. I bought this because it “seemed” like a business class, up to date performer for 3d engineering which requires several programs and renderings running on multiple monitors. It doesn’t wow me, but it’s better than the gaming laptop I returned for this one. Have to get with dell about the issues.

1. At the desktop, click the Search the web and Windows box and type ""problem reports"".
2. Select View all problem reports to view a list of errors that have occurred on your computer and possible solutions for them, such as updating drivers, flashing your system BIOS, or checking for updates to the software.
3. Under the Source column, look for Windows and under Summary, look for Shut down unexpectedly.
4. Right-click the line item and select Check for a solution.
5. We'd also suggest checking to make sure that your software and drivers are up to date on Dell's Product Page - http://dell.to/3hmUpRy.

Inspiron 2 n1 laptop

Computer is under warranty And there was absolutely 0 help trying to get assistance They just wanted to continue Repairing the same issues over in over I did not use the Geek Squad because the computer is covered under warranty very very disappointed. I will never purchase another Del product

A medium quality laptop.

The monitor looks great and the keyboard is very good. The pen doesn't feel like a premium pen. The tip should be softer. I have a Note 10 and that tiny pen feels better. I upgraded to Windows PRO and it works very smooth. The finger reader sucks. 9 out of 10 it does not read correctly. Today that's unacceptable. The camera cover feels cheap too! The question is: would I buy it again? No. Would I recommend this laptop to a friend? I guess... But I would explain that is not a premium laptop. You get what you pay for.

Finally a winner!!!

I've changed computers atleast 4-5 times before finding this one. I tried lesser gb systems, but wasn't happy. I tried gaming computers, but was still not happy. This computer had every little feature/gadget I wanted, plus nice graphics and ram numbers. Finally a winner.

First the track pad was flaking out on me. Then the headphone jack was having issues caused by the MaxxAudio software. I'm getting random crashes stating it was due to a memory error but a memory test finds everything is fine. It sometimes crashes when waking from sleep. I've been through support and none of these issues have been fixed though I might be able to fix the last two with a system reset. The first two are issues right out of the box though.

Everything is perfect except…

It was an easy return as I only had it 10 days. I got the replacement and had data transferred and set-up completed. I have had it about 3 weeks now and no fatal errors. Many more features than I will probably ever use but they are there. I would recommend this to anyone looking for general computer. If your a gamer your on your own I don't know how well this would work for you.
