Mouse defective

Opens things on its own and doesn't respond to my command. Many times becomes invisible and I have to re boot. Very frustrating. I'm doing video editing and it's a nightmare.

Thanks for your review. We're sorry that your computer's touchpad is not working the way that it should for you. Please consider re-calibrating your touchpad with these steps:
Some Notebooks and Tablets with Keyboards have added gesture features to the touchpad hardware and drivers. A few of these features are two or three finger scrolling, pinch zoom, circle zoom, rotate and swiping. These new features may be the reason for the erratic cursor movement since most are turned on by default. You can disable or modify the way the features work in the touchpad driver properties.
Here are some tips to modify these settings:
1. In the Search box, type main.cpl.
2. Touch or click main.cpl in the list of programs.
3. Touch or click the Dell Touchpad tab.
4. Touch or click on the picture of the touchpad.
5. Touch or click Gestures (depending on your computer there may not be a Gestures option).
6. Change the options as preferred.
7. Touch or click Save.
8. Touch or click the X in the upper-right corner to close the Dell Touchpad Utility.
9. Touch or click OK on the Mouse Properties window.
10. If the touchpad still does not work after following the preceding steps, refer to Dell Knowledge Base article - http://dell.to/2iaiujA.

Not worth the price or headache!

Unfortunately, just like the rest of the reviews, this laptop is not worth the price or headache. I would give it a zero, if I could. Between the blue screen error, random glitches and restarts, touchpad lags, constant updating, memory issues, time spent talking to Dell and overall functionality this laptop should be AVOIDED at all costs!! I bought this laptop less than a year ago. I’m already looking for a new computer because I’m unable to effectively work from it. In addition, Dell says the 1 year warranty only covers hardware issues and because their diagnosis didn’t indicate a hardware problem it’s not covered. You would think with all the negative reviews Dell would just discontinue it at this point, guess not..

NOT for Artists. Annoying Built-In "Features"

Pen latency is bad and the line jitters no matter how high your smoothing/correction settings are. Instead, buy a similar RAM and storage HP and a medium Wacom Intuos Pro for LESS money than this laptop. Not only that but second day of being on, videos and audio wouldn't load right, getting distorted and glitchy. And above all, the fact that you can't turn off the adaptive brightness no matter where you search in the settings (i even tried finding it in BIOS, no luck) makes this irredeemable. Very disappointed with this laptop.

After several Dell Support and Geek Squad sessions, bestBuy finally agreed to return and replace it. Migration incomplete. Now, second unit has erratic touchpad, intermittently unresponsive fingerprint scanner, and intermittently cursor disappears. So far nearly 60 hours spent troubleshooting without a solution in sight. Geek squad has proven almost useless. In store appointments are just "drop-offs". Online/phone barely speak English and hit or miss if the tech will have knowledge or you'll be training them. Really wish I had not bought this lemon. Buyer be ware.
