Customers consistently note the 8" Tablet's ease of use, attractive price, and ample screen size as significant advantages. However, concerns regarding battery life and limited storage space are frequently raised. Some users also mention challenges with the device's memory and charging port. Overall, the tablet receives positive feedback for its user-friendliness and affordability, but improvements in battery life and storage capacity are desired.

Better than expected - plus the secret to reviving

Purchased as a "Deal of the Day" for $39 in April, I was expecting a toy, but soon found out that it was way better than expected. It is easy to use, has an up-to-date Android operating system, is memory upgrade-able, is light and the fit & finish belie its low price. Down side: no support to speak of, documentation is fun to read but not very useful and it only has a 90 day warranty. So there I was, enjoying this technological gem when without warning, it fails to operate. Dead as a door nail. And the killer was that this was exactly 95 days after purchase - just outside of warranty. Like some others on this thread, I was severely disappointed and even a little angry. So off to BestBuy - I explained the situation and they would have provided a replacement, but they were fresh out of this model. Still, they were ready to let me apply my $39 to any tablet in the store (nice people). I went back to the tablet section, looked at some Samsungs that were in the $200 range, but was not impressed - older operating system and significantly heavier (19oz vs Digiland 12oz). I explained my story to the associate working in that section and he asked if I had the dead tablet with me. So we went back to the customer service desk where they were holding it. He tried to power it on without success. THEN he pushed the power button and the lower volume buttons at the same time for about 20 seconds and ta dah! the Digiland came back to life. He called it a "hard start". Anyway, I'm back in business and wanted to pass this story on to others who have experienced similar issues. The odds are that if you have a dead Digiland, it ain't dead at all! It just needs woke. Still the best tablet that $39 will buy.

I bought this for operating Behringer X32 sound system. I specifically wanted an 8" sized tablet for this application. The IPS screen is better than many entry level tablets that loose nearly all color when viewed from one of the 4 sides. Screen does not get "very" bright, not ideal for in daylight use. Audio is poor in quality, but might be exactly what some users want to limit kid viewing / listening at louder volumes that would reach others across a room if it had a louder speaker. Headphone 3.5mm volume seems a bit low too when compared to some other mobile devices. Wifi connects quickly to my X32 connected router. The battery seems to hold up better to Mix Station Pro, which is power hungry, when compared to my Blackberry Priv (Android) device with DigiLand's larger capacity battery. I am a fan of devices that are not bloated with apps I don't want from the factory. This is a fairly clean system from factory. This is exactly what I want to see - especially with only 8GB built in storage total. Won't be your do everything device unless you add micro SD card storage. Best Buy did not have a soft case for this in stock - bought Amazon Item Model Number: TE8.0-EVA-7C (Fit snug and just needed some foam cut out to accommodate the Digiland button, speaker & connector configuration since it varies from the Samsung Galaxy Tab E8" tablet layout the foam case was designed for. I feel really good about using this case / tablet combo for a school or church sound system.)

I purchased this for my son, who used his Christmas money for it. He’s already had one tablet from Amazon that wouldn’t turn on when I arrived so we were hoping for better luck by going local. The reviews looked decent and all he wants is a tablet to play Minecraft and NBA Live. Set up was easy. I’m an Apple person but I’m familiar with Android and Google Play. I love that I was able to set up a family group through the Family Link app and I can approve or deny his purchases, set screen time limits, and lock the screen from my phone or iPad. It took a little time to set up but once it was, it was great. He seemed to really like the tablet. The screen is sharp for an inexpensive tablet. It’s not super fast but it doesn’t drag, either. However, today is day 2 of the tablet. He went to get it from his room where it was just sitting on his dresser and the screen was completely screwed up when he looked at it. It looks like the screen has a large hole in it and it’s cracked, but the screen itself isn’t damaged at all, it’s just the screwy graphic that’s on the screen. It won’t go away after a reboot. Really disappointed that he’s had less than 24 hours of use and it’s already crashed. We’re exchanging it to give it one more chance - maybe he got a dud. But at this point, if the next one does the same, I’m just going to give him my iPad Mini and buy a new iPad. Apple products may not be perfect, but trying to find an Android tablet that works has been a big test.

Bought this tablet for my husband to use on his work commute. It worked for a month and then stopped charging. Since we were past the 15 day warranty from Best Buy, we went to the manufacturer. You have to pay shipping to get the tablet to them and have a money order for the return shipping back which for us was half of what we originally paid for the tablet. I am extremely frustrated that the product failed after a month of use, cost me half the purchase price to get repaired, and takes 4 weeks to repair. Don't buy this tablet because if it fails, it is a huge pain to get it repaired.

Great bargain for a budget Android tablet. I purchased this to use mainly as a TV streaming controller; Google Chromecast, Hulu, YouTube Live TV, Crackle, etc. YouTube live TV is awesome. I canceled my Xfinity TV package. So far the tablet has worked with no problems. Decent battery life. No problems with any of the Android apps I have downloaded.

Purchased to use for the Square Up card reader only. Thought it was a good deal at $70. Extremely slow and would not connect to internet or Bluetooth. After 2 hours of struggling to get online or Wifi to work I gave up and packed it up to return. Stay away from this one, it did not work right straight out of the box.

At first I thought this was pretty good for the money. Perfect for my kid. But after 5 months it's a brick. Won't power on. Won't charge. Contacted the company. They only offer a 90 day warranty and want me to pay to fix it. My advice is to get the service plan from Best buy if you must buy this piece of junk.

It’s an absolute waste of your money. I got it on sale for $40 an it was still a waste of cash. It lasted maybe 3 months an I only used it as a cromcast remote I never used it for anything else. It froze up often kicked me off just as much an the touch screen is junk. An don’t be rough with it it’s made in a very cheap way so I guess you get what you payed for. Good luck

It started out OK and logged on to my WiFi. When I started a fresh start it said it need to refresh an existing set up. I found a note in the questions about rebooting, tabbing down five options and restarting. I did that and it did restart but stopped at the same problem. The Best Buy chat geek said to just get another one. I'm just going to return it and try something else.
