I played the first Xenoverse and enjoyed the experience and hadn't played the second one yet. Pleasant surprise to see it arrive on the Switch and with the first games story and all the characters unlocked if you purchase before Halloween. Recommend if you haven't played and been loving all the rpgs on this handheld system. The fighting in Xenoverse is a lil button smash heavy but I feel there is still a large skill gap and there is a lot to do in the game and fans of the series will enjoy being a part of the DBZ world.

You know what you’re getting into if you liked the first. It’s a lot of online play but you can also play offline. Just make sure your connection is food enough because you’ll get soft banned for disconnects.

I haven't had time to dig in to this one too extensively but the short amount of time I've spent with the game it has been pretty good. The controls are a bit overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of it they become more natural. Battles feel straight out of the anime, action is fast and furious. This has more in common with RPGs than Street Fighter, so if you're looking for a more straight up fighting game experience, you may want to wait for Dragon Ball FighterZ in September.

Firstly, i wouldn't recommend this if you haven't seen Dragonball Z, as the game follows the story of the anime with some minor (and not so minor) changes. As far as the game is concerned, it is a good but not great 3d beat em up where you get to roleplay as a character of your design and take on other characters from the Dragonball universe. If this type of game seems interesting to you, there is no other game on the Switch that can compare to Xenoverse 2.

Picked this up not thinking too much of it but ended up really enjoying it. Some pleasant surprises in there in terms of there is more than just the main story line of leveling up your character while trying to protect the Dragon Ball timeline. These side quests/mini games get unlocked the more you play. A Fighting, Role playing game and is fun to enjoy and really requires work/skill/and sometimes luck to get far in the game. A must have for the fans of the Dragon Ball anime.

I watched my son play it and I love the fact that the game (just like Zelda BOTW) forces him to read and comprehend dialogues from game characters as well as having him closely follow rules and instructions that are required to advance through different levels. While the game itself is not educational to say the least, it encourages the player to think and come up with different strategies. Plus it looks awfully fun and in my book, that's a winner!

This is a must own for Drangon Ball fans. The story and gameplay is great. Highly reccomnd.

I played this game when it first came out on the PS4 and it was great. Now i get to play it on the go!

Feels very much the same as the first one with great visuals and fun combat but can get old quickly unless your a die hard DBZ fan.

I wasn't expecting much from this. But everyone was saying how fun it was. And.. THEY WERE RIGHT. It take some time to start. The hub world is not really well done, but the gameplay is so fun. Pretty fast and it flows perfectly. It feels just like the show. And the RPG elements keeps you playing all the time. I really recomend this one. A fierce fighting game that is not afraid to try something different.

If your a fan of Dragon Ball Z, fighting games, and playing out the story, then this game is for you!

Might be obvious but this game is definitely for Dragon Ball fans only. Other DB games like FighterZ are more open to general fighting game enthusiasts but this game relies heavily on fandom to maintain interest. The framerate, resolution and harsh aliasing are pretty rough at times but overall I had a good time playing this game because I'm already familiar with the characters and universe.

Didn’t really have much expectations but the Nintendo Switch continues to impress me almost every time I play a new and different game. Sad that I missed out on the free dlc though.

You can create your own character and play through a story mode while increasing your stats.

This game is okay. The fighting is good, but you have to free roam this little town to get missions. I wish it was just fighting.

I’m not too familiar with Dragonball but reviews of this game and pics online had me interested. When I saw this on sale I figured it was a good time to give it a try. It’s been fun to pick up and play and different then the other fighting game I own on the switch. I’m not sure if it’s worth a full price purchase but if you see it on sale it’s worth picking up especially with GCU discount on top.

This game is way more fun then I expected it to be. Got it during black friday for a great price!

Of course this is a port of the version that released on the Xbox One, looks pretty much the same but now it’s on a handheld

I can’t say much about my purchase as it was bought as a Christmas gift. I received this item in good timing. Stay tuned for how the gift is received. Wish me luck.

Overall if your a fan of the dragon ball series you will love this game. Ive played the original on ps4 and loved it. Then got dragon ball xenoverse 2 for the ps4 loved it but since I was determined to get to the highest level I did that within 2 days. Now I have a copy of the game for the switch. Which I still think is a great game overall. Reliving the dragon ball sega again but on my Nintendo switch which I love❤️
