This is more of a casual fighter not for the technical fighter fan. It has great story that I feel ant DBZ fan would love.

Son a big DBZ fan so I had to get this for him for Xmas. He can’t stop play this thing. Surprised he has time for his other games lol

Another game in the stack o games / consoles. Fun stuff when get though others. Fighting game is ok, cutsceenes are nice.

Let me preface this with I did not play Xenoverse 1. I got Xenoverse 2 for the Switch to play with some friends. While there is a story mission, there is a lack of...guidance..? I mean, the guidance is there, but nothing that says do this, do that. Everything is unlocked pretty much from the get go. While you level up or train with instructors you unlock a few other attacks or outfits, but its all very basic. The fighting system is a bit buggy. And while there is an attribute system, nothing seems to affect Defense or Speed, and you can literally get stuck in a NPC loop where you cannot bounce back or defend from. A few people say its because you have to time the defense, but even doing so it still seems a bit buggy - maybe this is just on the Switch version and not really on the PS4/Xbox. Wish there was a bit more customization, but for what the game is its not bad. Overall 3/5 for the Switch as there is a lot that I feel is missing to make the game fully functional, or at least complete. Definitely a game to pick up if you like DBZ and want to play a fighter game to kill some time.

This is my favorite switch game. The graphics are great, and the co-op is a plus.

This might not be as good looking as the PS4 version but it still holds up to deliver fun and tons of memorable moments.

Must have for dragonball fans, especially with the Switch portability. Can play this game without interruption at home or on the go.

Xenoverse was an amazing series of Dragon Ball games and the Switch version really spices up the formula to a tee! Its over 9000!!!

I really enjoyed the Xenoverse games on the PC. They were a great mix of story and challenges. Glad to finally have it on Switch!

I’ll be quite honest in saying that it’s been well over a decade since I’ve played a DragonBall Z game. I think the last time I’ve played a DBZ game was when I was in Japan at the arcade. Anywho, my, how time’s changed! As I understand it, the Switch ‘suffers’ 30 FPS, until battles when docked, when it hits 60FPS. That hadn’t stopped me from enjoying this expansive game, where I enjoyed catching up with characters that I grew fond of, as well as other ones that I must not remember. The game is easy to pick up, and the tutorial has been decent; I didn’t feel like trying to find ways to ‘skip’ any part of it, as it gave decent explanation as to what is going on. Playing with the joycons is interesting, if not awkward. But I really enjoyed playing with a 8BitDo NES30 controller. I’m sure that the Switch Pro Controllers would work just as decently. While there is DLC available to buy, the game is adequate in content, and currently has two free DLC, so be sure to download those, as one of them contains parts pertinent to Part I’s storyline. All and all? I give it 4.25/5 stars.

Refreshing game that brings back all of the nostalgia of watching DBZ as a kid. Graphics are surprisingly great and playing on the go is a phenomenal experience. Definitely buy it if you’re looking for another good story game for the Switch. Only downside is the limited local multiplayer experience, but still good for hours of fun.

Love Dragonball z games. This is fun to play as well. Hopefully they release Dragonball fighters Z next year!!!

Maybe one of the best DBZ games to have come out for any console. And on the switch it’s just that much better.

Big fan of dragon ball z when they came up with it for the switch i was skeptical but once i started fell in love with it
