It didn't do what I thought

It took a while to get it. I probably could have just went to the store. When I plugged it up, my HD 4k tv did the same thing. Error Message. Maybe I didn't do it right, but I don't see any difference before I bought the cord. It was pretty cheap so I'm not really fussing too much. But sort of disappointed.
