No one could tell us if a Dyson worked or not so we took a chance and bought one. Definitely doesn't work for our needs! I'm sure it works well for regular carpet but not for our new high pile carpet. Our search continues.

Dyson would not warranty accusing us of abusing the vacuum. I guess if you use it on carpet it is too hard on it. I'm very grateful that I bought the Best Buy warranty.

I was wrong. This vacuum is the worst ever. It constantly clogs up and I'm constantly taking it apart to unclog it. Mind you I don't have any pets just carpet. I'm going back to a Shark. Dyson does lose suction. I emailed the company and what I got was instructions on how to unclog it which I already knew. I will never waste my hard earn money on any Dyson product again!
