I love the transition between floors making it effortless and never had an issue with dog hair getting stuck.

It does have some frustrating design choices. - It is easy to get the power cable hooked across the entirety of the foot print of the vacuum. The back wheels are hooks, there are 2 hooks on the beater housing and the power cable gets caught here often. - The hose is super stiff. This causes another issue with the base. If you use the hose and attachments for dusting it's very easy to get the vacuum tipped over. It's something I know about and can try to avoid. But after having had the vacuum for months I still occasionally ding furniture because I've inadvertently tipped the vacuum over.

With regard to the hose, I can confirm that we would essentially expect the hose to become more flexible with time and use. A few tips we can provide would be attaching your accessories directly to your hose, as this will also help expedite stretching the elasticity of the hose. Dyson vacuums are engineered with versatility in mind and attachments may be used on either the wand or directly on the machine itself for added convenience. Also, when stretching the hose out we would recommend starting by stretching the part of the hose that is nearest to the vacuum first when extending this part to clean your home. We would actually recommend checking to ensure the wand is not obstructed and that the hose is not sucking into itself as the hose is not something we would expect to be an issue during use.

Only vacuum I’ll ever buy!

Highly recommend it. My last one broke after six years and immediately replaced it with the same Dyson. It holds up and gets the job done.

The foot lever to release from an upright position is also nonexistent on this model, which is odd.

We wouldn't expect the machine to feel flimsy in construction. Dyson Ball vacuum cleaners operate with a quick recline feature. This will avoid the need for pedals or stepping on the front of the machine as with our non-ball models. To recline the machine, you simply pull backward on the handle to auto-recline the machine. Also, rest assured, Dyson machines are made from polycarbonate ABS, which is same material used in riot shields and crash helmets. They are tough, so we subject them to 50,000 hours of testing and 550 individual tests – all to ensure that they can withstand a lifetime’s hard use. The animal 2 holds up to its standards. Great hand tools on board. Just wish dyson would redesign the hand tool hose to make it more flexible when cleaning low level.

Super vacuum, my only complaint is that the hose is too stiff, and like a spring, doesn’t like to be stretched. Try to extend the hose or reach too far with it, and it pulls the entire vacuum with it.

It is also not as easy to use as I had thought. It is additionally overpriced. Overall, it is acceptable and does what it's supposed to do.

We have 4 dogs....2 that shed a lot. Running this through the house very 2 days is quick, easy and you never have to worry about clogging the thing up.

It’s a great vacuum. The only thing I don’t like is when you bring it down from it’s standing position it snaps. Sounds bad and can’t be too good for it. Other than that it’s awesome
