But we have carpet with medium length threads and it sucked itself to the floor so hard that you couldn’t push it. The height of the vacuum head cannot be adjusted. We called Dyson and they advised us not to use it on the carpet, because it could tear the threads out of the carpet. So we returned it. My wife was sad. This was our second animal unit. We have the original which still works, but needs some maintenance.

Great vacuum for pet owners with hardwood floors
