So far I am satisfied with this vacuum. Lot better suction than the other Ball Animal. The ball does not decide where it is going on it's own and that makes cleaning easier. I like the fact it is lighter in weight.

I love this vacuum and how it cleans. It has a lot of good tools. Only thing I don't like is how heavy it is. My 12yr old son & I have a hard time carrying it up & down the steps. Not good if you have a bad back or pregnant. It's easy to push to vacuum though.

I had the original Animal and was very happy with it. As it turns out, a plastic piece broke which meant it was time to replace it. Wow, what a difference those years made. The ball was a little unusual to start with but works great now. The attached carpet/hard surface bar where you can turn off the beaters works really well. Pros: Suction. This produces far more suction than my previous version. Easy to maneuver. Container is easier to dump when full. Cons: The wheels that lock down are fine when you want it to stand, but fold up easily if you try to push the vacuum forward. Solution is to drag behind you, but feels odd to me. Suction is so strong that when using the wand it sometimes pulls the hose in to the point it restricts flow. Would I buy again? Yes.

Great vacuum! Having 5 dogs, we needed a powerful and reliable vacuum. The dyson works great and is easy to use. The vacuum comes with numerous tools that help immensely with 5hose hard to reach spots. Great purchase!

I love this vacuum. It makes cleaning up a lot easier and quicker.

We have two very large dogs and lots of carpet. It does a fantastic job! I also appreciate the ease of finding and clogs in the hose. One of the kids vacuumed up a small pencil. The one and only downside it that it doesn’t work with all area rugs. It’s unction is so strong that it tries to eat one of ours. Luckily it’s the one we kept in front of the dogs water and food bowl and it’s washable so on a daily basis I shake it out and once a week I hose it off and hang it out to dry. I’ve tried a lot of vacuums and so far other than my Panasonic from 25 years ago this is far and away the best.

Dyson vacuums are the best, and this one is no exception. Great suction, ease of use, and warranty. If you're on the fence, just pull the trigger!

Had a dyson ball thought it was great, but this one is a beast!!! It rips at the floor to suck everything up!! I'm so happy with this machine its worth the extra money trust me! My dogs hair doesn't stand a chance!

I absolutely love this vacuum! 2 dogs and a husband who is in and out all day. We live in the country and the vacuum is powerful and light weight! Great motor! Great suction!

Fantastic maneuverability. Easy to take apart. Easy to remove debris from the machine. Pearce to pick up a lot more dirt, based on the amount I dispose of after each cleaning. Love that I don’t have to change bags.

The Dyson Animal is by far the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. it has great power and clean floors and carpets better than any other vacuum I have ever seen. Very easy to clean and handle.

Love the power and the ease of use. I have pets so it is great at getting up the hair. This is my second Dyson, had my previous one for 15+ years.

First off: if you want power, Dyson is the way to go. I have 2 Stick Vacuums and they are amazing (I replaced my upright [after trying this one] with the V8-Animal) This vacuum will not work on really plush shag-style carpets. I got it home tried it for 5 minutes, worked great on my short carpets and the hardwood, then tried on the heavy carpet in bedroom and it just gets stuck. Looked for a button or knob to try adjust to heavy carpet. Called Dyson and they were honest. They don't work on shag carpets. Returned for the stick version which I knew worked well. I love companies that are honest about their products. The suction is just too powerful for thick stuff. Great on hardwoods and low profile carpets. It's too bad they don't make a more versatile full-size version (chorded, not battery powered vacuum that you don't have to hold a trigger the whole time) but honestly I have the V6 for our office and the V8 for home and they're great.

Love the ease of use and the power of this vacuum. It works well on hard floors as well as carpets. I am extremely satisfied with this product.

I've never operated a more powerful vacuum. We had a smaller Dyson ball vac that lasted many years. It gave excellent service but after the motor went bad this larger unit became the replacement. This vacuum does an excellent job on carpet, hardwood, and vinyl. The weight is heavier but on carpet the rotary brush head seems to propel itself forward. All Dyson units are expensive with this being one of the most expensive, however I consider this money well spent. With the current situation in the U.S. it was difficult to find, even online.

I purchased this vacuum to clean up dog hair. After vacuuming with my old machine I immediately followed with the new Dyson. I filled a canister up in each room. It has a long cord and it goes under cabinets nicely. Great vacuum!

We love this product. Very strong suction and lightweight. The product is great and would be even better if there was some type of storage for the attachments.

Overall good product with excellent suction. The long power chord is a plus as it allows for an extended range without the need to find a closer plug to the cleaning area. The power buttons are conveniently located and the beater bar can be turned off for floors. The only negative thus far is the inconsistent actuation of the locking mechanism.

The price seemed steep so I avoided purchasing in the past. They went on sale and I gave it a try. It is great. No filter to replace, suction power is awesome. Easily movable. Well worth the purchase.
