I've owned many bagless vacuums over the years. Also tried many different brands. You might say I buy vacuums like people buy socks, lol. I have to say this is my Bugatti of vacuums, it's that good! In every price range, this one is the king. Whether vacuuming or using its wand and attachments, nothing sucks like this machine. Just buy it, it's worth every cent.

I love Dyson vacuums. I had my previous vacuum for over 20 years and I am a true Dyson fan. This is my first Dyson ball vacuum and so far I love it. It very maneuverable and easy to use and very lightweight. Would recommend to anyone who wants a long term vacuum!

I bought this vacuum for my daughter for Christmas (she's married with 2 kids and a big dog). And she absolutely loves it. Her dog sheds a lot (german shepherd mix) and it sweeps up all the hair beautifully. I bought it when it was on sale and saved a lot of money. I highly recommend it, it is more expensive than some other brands - but man is it worth it.

This vacuum has awesome suction. We have birds, cats, dogs and chinchillas. This vacuum makes it very easy to keep our home very nice. It is in my opinion your best choice in the Dyson line up. Do not hesitate to purchase. You'll be very satisfied.

I love how strong this vacuum is, but there are a few things I feel like they could have made better but it’s really not a big deal. It would be better if the cord was retractable, and the hose was more flexible, it being so stiff makes it hard to use really quick on the corners. But the quality of the suction makes up for these minor things.

this has great power and is a great vacuum, however the power is also it's downfall to me. Works great on any carpet that is basically flat and flush, but if you have a carpet that is shag or is slightly longer it becomes very hard to control/push the vacumm because it pulls the carpet into the machine. It does clean much better than any vacuum i have ever owned, just isn't always easy to maneuver.

I didn't believe that the claim was true that this vacuum had the best suction of all vacuums. Well . . . it's true and I'm totally convinced. My wife showed me the container of dust after using the vacuum for 10 minutes. If you don't have this suction machine, you're not thoroughly cleaning your carpet. Dyson is absolutely #1!

An amazing vacuum cleaner. I was initially reluctant to spend the money on a Dyson Ball Animal 2 vacuum, even after reading independent reviews, but eventually decided to make the purchase. I am so glad I did, its by far the best vacuum that I have ever used.

It sucks pet hair with ease! I have a Maine coon, Sheltie and three children under 13 (thankfully non shedding lol). If I had a two story home I would recommend buying a second one. My wife says it is heavy.... I say it is heavy duty. We have a combination of hardwood, tile, and wood flooring. My only complaint is I wasted money on other vacuums in the past.

The best vacuum cleaner I have purchased,it works good. And the pick up is great,I will always buy a dyson they have a great name easy to assemble.The other vacuum cleaners I have purchased were not reliable and did not last that long.With dyson u can’t go wrong so purchase it.

First off, I can't understand why there are so many five star reviews of this vacuum. Its design flaws are obvious to anyone from the first minute you try to use it. I will say that I am glad I kept my 13 year old Bissell since I have to use it often since the Dyson Ball Animal 2 isn't able to be used, at least easily, in many situations. Like my Summary line says, this is a great vacuum if your intent is simply to spend a lot of money. It does cost a lot of good money. However, just keep in mind the limitations I am about to list. First, if you have carpet, especially anything that is high piled or even medium piled, it will basically feel like it is going to damage the carpet and even possibly suck it off the tack board. Since the height can't be adjusted, this $500 piece of junk can't be used on carpet with any height to it, I still have to use my old Bissell to vacuum the carpet in my bedrooms. Second, if you want to use the attachments, be ready to go through a very cumbersome and annoying process that basically feels like you are taking the thing apart to do so. The pet hair attachment does work well since the vacuum has great suction, too bad it is so inconvenient to use since you almost need to be factory trained to use the attachments. Third, the vacuum does a fairly good job on bare floors with dirt and dust. However, anything on the floor greater in size than a bb or so, it will just push it around and it won't vacuum it up since the clearance of the beater isn't that high and can't be adjusted. Never fear, when using the Dyson Ball Animal 2, you can simply pick the vacuum up and set it down on that debris and it will suck it up finally. Nice isn't it! Fourth, there is no lever to lock it upright or release it, so you just have to force it upright into the locked position and force it down when you need to vacuum some more. Also, often, you will think it is locked upright and then it will fall over on you. How great is that! Finally, I will say it has a nice long cord, something that was well thought out. Overall, if you buy this vacuum, keep your old one. The Dyson works great except for when you need to use attachments, vacuum carpet, anything larger than a bb off a bare floor, or safely lock it in place. It is a good, expensive second vacuum cleaner since you still need another one to do most things.

Was skeptical until i realized our old Dyson was about 10 years old and probably not cleaning as well as it should. Decided to finally break down and buy this one and man... I'm loving it. Vacuuming is fun and effective. Does well picking up after our great Pyrenees lab mix

Easy to use and the suction is second to none! My last Dyson lasted 12 years

I am very happy with my Dyson Ball Animal 2 bagless upright vacuum. Works great in cleaning my wooden floors and does a great job with suctioning up my pets hair. I also recently used the attachment hose to clean my dogs mattress. Two thumbs up. Thank you Dyson for creating a powerful vacuum. Cleaning the floors has been such an easier task for me.

Bought this to replace our first Dyson, which we had purchased in 2009. We have been thinking about a new one for about a year and finally made the purchase. We should have done it a couple years ago. This vacuum is really great. We have two pets and it picks up all the hair they leave behind.
