So far it’s been great! I have only used on my lower level hardwoods, purchased mainly to help control the dog hair - and it has been great. The attachments have strong suction also. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is bc of the way the attachment hose is designed - it makes it difficult to get in hard corners

Exactly as others have mentioned, I used this less than 24 hours after the floors had been vacuumed with our old vacuum. It was both horrifying and amazing what this thing pulled out of our carpet with the first use.

Had this for over a year now prior to this review. Wife says vacuum is working great and does a good job. Although at a higher price range, it appears to prove its worth. Wife says cleans easy once taught how to access filters and collection bin. Best valentines gift ever!

Best vacuum I've ever owned....it picks up everything and more. I can't believe what was in my carpet. I hope it will helps my allergies.

You can't beat a Dyson for picking up dirt and animal hair. I've had many different brands of vacuums over the years and I must say I wish I would have bought one of these years ago and saved my time on the others. Besides being the best at picking up dirt and hair, these have the longest power cord so you don't have to stop and find another power outlet.

Great vacuum cleaner. Our home is 1/2 tile and 1/2 carpet with x 2 tiny rug rat chihuahuas running around. Even they love this vacuum cleaner. It's not too heavy, maneuvers easily, and the level of suction and debris it captures is amazing. Highly recommend this vacuum cleaner.

Pleasantly surprised how easy to use and cleans great.

We had the smaller version of this for the last 5 years and we thought it worked great up until we purchased the big ball Dyson. The suction power is incredible. The few dirt spots we had were normally cleaned with a Bissell rug machine but the Dyson completely removed the dirt spots. This hands down one of the best Vacuum's we have ever owned.

We did some research and read the online reviews for a number of bagless vacuums and settled on the Dyson. We found it handles easily, has great suction, and really pulls out a lot of the fine dirt from deep in the carpet. I do agree with some of the other reviews that the attachment hose can be a bit stiff to use on the stairs.

Bought this for my daughter, who had been nagging at me to get a new vacuum for years. Bit the bullet and so glad I did. Its very simple to put together, easy to maneuver and turn when vacuuming and the amount of dirt and pet hair it picks up? Unbelievable! I would highly reccomend this if you have pets that shed like no tomorrow.

I’ve been married for 50 years and had many vacuums but this is my all time favorite. It is so easy to maneuver and it adjusts automatically from tile to carpet. Good suction, long cord. It took me a moment to figure out how to use the attachment but once I did, it is so easy to use!

Although this vacuum was more expensive it seems worth the price. I have four indoor cats and pet hair has been a real problem. The Dyson Animal 2 has such a powerful suction that it picks up all the fur so quickly. The famous Dyson ball structure makes it easy to maneuver.

Honestly, was skeptical about the whole Dyson craze. We had a Bissell Animal vacuum before as we have 2 adults, 1 baby, and 3 dogs; 2 of the dogs being very furry and shed like nobody's business. Truly, they should be bald by this point. That sucker (get it) died on us after 5 loyal years. So, new house, new vacuum. This Dyson is a GOD SEND. Yes, we still have to clean the brush area often (as expected), but ultimately it sucks sooooooo well. My one complaint is when using the hose, I wish the vacuum or base of it was more sturdy, I find myself having to make sure I don't topple over the machine while trying to use the hose. Minor probz for such a good machine. Their warranty is great too...husband was trying to take it apart to clean it (it's been 2 years of straight ABUSE), and he did so without adult supervision and a lil piece snapped because he was too rough with it. Warrantied super easy, done deal, back to normal! The vacuum place we took it to said we didn't need to clean anything on the inside yet and that it was in really good condition. We are impressed. Dyson people for LIFE. BUY IT NOW.

I absolutely love this thing!!! Every time I see one, I go on and on raving about it. I have two cats and litter is a problem of course. The vacuum literally sucked up every little piece! The first time I used it, I was amazed and disgusted by how much was in the container!! This is a lifesaver for my allergies, feet, and my cats. Thank you Dyson!!

This is my second Dyson, it is so strong i could not move it when it was on. Called Dyson and they walked me thru removing a seal, it is a little easier to move now.

This vacuum has incredible suction power and is easy to use.

This is my 3rd Dyson vacuum (I'm very hard on vacuums) and the Animal 2 is a bit smaller and a lot more manueverable than the previous machines. The best thing about Dysons is the suction and the clear canister that shows you how much dirt gets taken up! Loving it...again!
