Picks up alot from the carpet. From pet hair to long hair. Gets into corner well work well on hardwood floor as well. Only complaint is the extention tube to use for corners and under furniture. Its pretty useless, can't extend it all thenway wants to come back up to the vacuum if you pull to hard the vacuum falls over. It has great suction but to use it to reach up on under things does not work well at all. Bad design on Dyson part.

This is my third Dyson, second Animal upright. These vacuums are work horses. In my opinion, money well spent.

I love this vacuum and easy to use. The reason I didn’t give this a 5 stars is because of the wand. The wand Is awkward to use and hard to stretch outward. The vacuum picks up well and sweeps along the edges. Works great on hardwood floors but you have to remember to shut the vacuum brushes by shutting them off by pushing the button. Very easy to empty. No worries about buying sweeper bags. I would recommend!

This is the best vacuum ever. Carpet looks great after you use it. Would recommend to anyone. I like it.

This vacuum is light enough to carry up stairs. Really gets dirt and stuff out of the carpet. Goes easy from rug to hardwood floor.

Our second Dyson vacuum purchase. First one lasted 13 yrs. This one very powerful but the plastic clips have less integrity than the old model.

We've only had Dyson bagless upright vacuums in our home over the last dozen or so years. Seemingly, the "animal" line continues to grow in size ... and this recent iteration while extremely strong and a wonderful vacuum, is harder to steer and more rigid to use. Perhaps we were spoiled with the prior version which was a bit smaller and VERY easy to use. I'm sure we'll get used to it, but perhaps everything doesn't need to always be made bigger than it's last iteration.

Great vacuum... so far so good, very easy to use and even easier to empty.

My other dyson lasted 12 years. I am please with the way the dyson cleans. I enjoyed the 5 year warranty too

It has one job and it does it well. Has great sucking power and is versatile across many surfaces.
