This vac cleans all layers and also removes all the dirt. The first use after having swept the carpet with my old sweeper- filled the dirt cup- to the brim! The vac puled everything out of the carpet! I have never been more pleased with the operation of a sweeper!

The only reason I give it 3 stars is because if you have thicker carpet it will suck down so hard you can not push it with two hands. After reading online people said you have to cut the gasket on the sides to release some suction. Why you should have to modify a $400 vacuum blows my mind.

It took us a week to figure out that something had clogged it, a strip of paper.. The suctioning is powerful, I mean super strong. It moves well around corners. The attachments are a learning process of using them, but you'll find the same "power" in the cleaning. Go for it and be amazed by the powerful suction!

I have heard great things about dyson. It turns out that out vacuumed just died this last Sunday and we needed a new vacuum immediately. We already new the vacuumed we wanted, but were waiting. After getting and using, I got to see how strong vacuum really is and how much it’s sucks up compared to other vacuum we’ve have for 10 years.
