It gets all of the dust and dirt left behind. I put it to the test by using my previous vacuum on an area of carpet. Then, I ran the Dyson over that same area. The Dyson found the dust and took care of business.

And it tips over, doesnt stand very easily.

I have heard great things about dyson. It turns out that out vacuumed just died this last Sunday and we needed a new vacuum immediately. We already new the vacuumed we wanted, but were waiting. After getting and using, I got to see how strong vacuum really is and how much it’s sucks up compared to other vacuum we’ve have for 10 years.

It is not in the area with the plastic cover. I don't know where the debris went, not into canister.
