I bought my Dyson Ball Animal 3 at the Tacoma WA location, and suction power is delivers is phenomenal. I was shocked on all the dirt, and dust is picked up. The De-tangling feature on the head brush is amazing, have not had one problem with it. Overall excellent upright vacuum machine for people who have large houses with lots of carpet.

I have a 110lb husky and he sheds so much. I would brush him a few times a day and still have white tumbleweeds in the house. Now with the pet attachment the amount of fur has been significantly reduced. The only down side is the handles plastic feels cheap.

This is our 4th Dyson in 20 years. So every 5 years they give up on you. Still buying them because until then they are great to use. Except this one. Hard to maneuver, heavy and cheap looking. Suction is good. I will give this to my college kid and get something else for myself.

Was not into the Dyson hype until I bought this one and used it. It’s been worth every penny. Can be and us used on both carpet and tile. No need to buy filters as it is reusable, all you have to do is rinse them and let it dry. Does amazing with pet hair

I previously had a shark lift-a-way professional for many years that was showing signs of time and I wanted a newer vacuum. I did a ton of research and watched youtube videos comparing and reviewing the newest vacuums. I had of course heard of dyson before but never used any of their products due to the increased price over competitors but everything was pointing me to this vacuum being one of the best currently available. I've now had this vacuum for a little over 2 years and I regret my purchase. My very first thought when unpacking and putting it together was wow this thing feels cheap. While it hasn't broken, yet, the plastic feels incredibly cheap and flexes with the slightest force. I honestly feel like I'm going the break the handle just from normal use. Compared to my shark the handle/hose that comes out is poorly designed and frustrating to use. One of the selling points of dyson vacuums is the ball roller. I just can't understand why anyone would think this is better then even the cheapest vacuums I've ever used. It's just plain worse in every aspect. It's not smooth, sometimes one or both sides won't roll at all, it adds a strange bulk, and worst of all the tiny cheap plastic back wheels are only good at keeping the unit standing. They unlock over the slightest of bumps, like going from hardwood to carpet, and then you have to overextend the whole unit away from you to get them back in place. Besides how often do people swerve around objects while vacuuming? Pretty sure it's a lot of straight back and forth movements which any halfway decent vacuum can do just fine. The suction is very strong which should be generally a good thing however, even on the highest floor setting, it is sometimes too strong. I wish there was a higher floor setting or a way to reduce suction if needed, something my old shark could do with a twist valve on the handle. The roller is amazing and the only real positive thing I have to say about this vacuum. We have 3 dogs, 2 cats, and my wife has long hair. I've had zero tangles or issues with it. Oh and the flat stair tool that attaches to the unit, not the separate one, is pretty good. I moved my old shark out to the garage to use till it died while I cleaned my garage. I treated it like crap and the dang thing is still going and every time I use it I wish I had just bought a newer shark. Shark was just coming out with de-tangling heads when I bought this and weren't getting as good reviews as the dyson version at the time. Today I'm going out to purchase a new shark and will be listing this dyson on Craigslist.

This vacuum is good at picking up pet hair. It does blow the hair around a little bit on the hardwood floors. It is also very loud.

So well. It's really impressive! I had no idea my 13 year old vacuum worked so poorly until I bought this thing. Normally, I can vacuum my 600 sf of carpet with one canister of my old vacuum. After using the Dyson, I had to empty the canister 3 times in one pass! Gross. Now, the floor is continually much cleaner as we vacuum once a week and fill up the canister only once every use. I'm not sure the "extra" is worth it over the standard version as we don't use the extra tools but it is nice to have them around. Using the tools is a snap as the handle unplugs easily and quickly gets to work. The 2 things I don't care for are the amount of plastic and the kickstand. Despite being impressively engineered it still feels kind of cheap due to the plastic. It would be heavy with aluminum parts (e.g., buttons, connections, etc.) but I would pay the premium as I don't mind the weight. The kickstand only works to keep it upright when it's not moving. If you're moving it the kickstand usually pops up and the head falls. Having a button to engage the kickstand wouldn't be a big deal. It's annoying but not a big deal. Overall, I'm really impressed. I would buy another Dyson any day.

I was having trouble with my old vacuum picking up cat litter and then dumping it. No suction after only 2 years! So I researched extensively any decided on this Dyson. Somewhat pricey but WORTH IT! Easy, quick assembly, picks up great - no more litter issues and my floors look great. HIGHLY recommend this vacuum.

First time purchasing a Dyson and I couldn't be happier! Picks up everything with no problem. Hose is great for hard to reach places, and the nooks and crannies. Haven't tried the pet grooming tool but am excited to try it out. Will only be purchasing Dyson from here on out.

Works great, if you want a really good deep clean on your carpets this is the one to get. Pulled so much more out after one cleaning than the others we’ve had. And it still pulled more after having the carpet professionally cleaned by carpet cleaners a few days before

Always loved Dyson. Got this one because I was sick of getting cheap Vaccuns that always lost the ability to clean my carpets. I have dogs and this one worked like a charm. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS!!

I heard so many people talking about how much they loved their Dyson. When my vacuum no longer worked, I contemplated over and over on which one to get. I kept coming back to the Dyson. Well, I decided to purchase one, and all I can say is, "I LOVE IT!"!! Why did I wait so long?

Our first Dyson is still going strong after almost 10 years! We just decided to get this new one and are just as happy!! Best vacuum out there!

Very powerful. This is my first Dyson. I have used Oreck and Shark in the past but they were not as powerful as this Dyson. However you give up some flexibility with the power since the ball limits you from going under some items. Still trying to get acclimated to the hand tools attachments.
