Unfortunately, right out of the box the unit weight compared to previous models made me skeptical and now I know why. The quality is now equally on par with much more inexpensive models with parts coming detached and issues with the usability with the handle and extensions. Dont waste your money! What a disappointment. I have always been willing to pay for better quality product but looks like Dyson has reduced themselves to just another overpriced vacuum.

The weight of the Ball Animal 2 (17.42 pounds) and Ball Animal 3 (17.33 pounds) is nearly identical. Our machines are still constructed from polycarbonate ABS, which is same material used in riot shields and crash helmets. Hair doesn’t get tangled and it is the most powerful suction vacuum I’ve used (besides my mom’s old school Sears model).
