    So, this vacuum is great, but it’s nothing special. I used like an 80$ vacuum before it blew up and got this but honestly it’s not a huge difference. I would say 5/10 I use this on medium height carpet, works well. Hard floor it’s meh

This model does feature the most suction power among out line of uprights. If you're having trouble using your machine on hard flooring, we would suggest disengaging your machine's brush bar, by pressing the power button to the brush bar, once the machine is on and reclined.     I wanted to really love this vacuum. I don’t. The suction is great BUT the attachments are very cumbersome to use. The hose does not bend easily, makes it difficult to use

      Hi, this is Summer with Dyson. We're sorry to learn that you're not having a 5-star experience with your Dyson Ball Animal 3. ​It is common for the hose to be stiff for the first few uses. With time it will loosen. To speed up the process, we suggest stretching the hose over a chair, railing etc, for a few hours. We use a very high quality rubber to make sure it does not break and lasts longer. As a result, the pipe may be rigid. To loosen up a new hose we recommend wrapping it around the vacuum overnight a few times and it will help loosen the tightness.     This is a heavy machine that is hard to maneuver and doesn’t slide under most furniture but it cleans well. Emptying the bin is a bit awkward and it needs to be held over a large receptacle.

    Worked great as far as vacuuming goes. Definitely got up more dirt than anything ive ever used. Brush roller kept coming off when trying to carry up stairs - not sure if user error or bad unit.

    This is amazing, sucks up even the most embedded dog hair. We were a family of loyal shark vacuum users but not anymore, this works super well

    Struggles with pet hair, which is a non-starter for a vacuum at this price (and also called the 'animal'). Fingers crossed this is only a heavy shed month issue.

    Stay clear from Dyson - please read!

    Done with Dyson forever. I purchased this last year and unfortunately it was a lemon (no suction, bar not working, and I literally had to hold it together with duct tape). After several months of back and forth with Dyson, they sent me a new vacuum. Fast forward to last month, and just 9 months after the original replacement, the beater bar broke. I went through all of the technological stuff with Dyson. They wanted proof of purchase but best buys online pickup receipt was not enough. It is so frustrating that this company got too big for their own good and customer service is seriously lacking. Their machines have significantly lost quality (did I mention my first 2 Dyson's purchased 25 years ago are still working?!?) So done..STAY clear from Dyson

    A lot of cheap plastic and the handle is sharp cheap plastic. It vacuums good but the way the hose pulls out sucks! I expected much better quality my older shark is a much better vacuum for half the price.

    Quite literally the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. My only complaint is that the hose is a little hard to manuever. Maybe once i break it in more it will work better, though.

    Well, this is my 2nd Dyson. I upgraded to the new model. I LOVED it the 1st 2 months. oddly, today, i went to vacuum my 6 x 8 area rug (the reason I have a vacuum) and the head attachment was almost snapped off. i leaned it back & it came off, only thing holding it on are the 2 wires. HOPING i am able to return to store for an exchange. Im shocked bc Ive NEVER had an issue witn a Dyson.

    JUNK. Only had for 13 months, used for hard floors only. The previous Dyson vacuum lasted 4 years. Both succumbed to what sounds like a bearing problem and severe loss of suction. Current one gets so hot you can not touch the spindle. Has a burning odor. Will NEVER buy or recommend a Dyson or even Best Buy again. We live 6 hours round-trip from closest Best Buy, so will toss this Dyson in the dump even tho it is still under manufacturer and Geek warranties--not worth the drive.

    so far so good. The biggest surprise is no hair tangles like it describes. Easy to use but doesn't go under furniture.

    It's was a okay purchase not good one. Better and wish there was other choices . Wish I wasn't in a big hurry to purchase it.

    Couldn’t wait to bring it back. If you have rugs, probably good. Hardwood not so good. Plenty of suction. When using the hose attachment, as soon as you put the power on the hose collapsed back to main part. After spending over $400, there was no way I was going to buy a different hose.
