I do have very thick plush carpet, but did not have this problem with my previous non-ball Animal Dyson. I think this would be best for low pile carpet or bare floors.

Just ok

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This has great suction, but: 1) the plugs fall out of my existing plug ins so now I must upgrade my current plugs. 2) it is hard to maneuver around the house 3) it is hard to make it stand up 4) I really need something with a super long hose so I can vacuum a board that goes across the ceiling of my living room.

Dyson vacuum does a great job with both carpets and floors. I have used it to suck up all the dust on my blinds and other hard to reach shelves and corners. I'm happy with the Dyson.

Dyson really delivers & they make products right! Well worth the money. I bought my first Dyson over a decade ago & I just passed it on to my daughter when I got my new one!

No matter what amount of suction I set, it pulls up the rug into the beater bar. I have read other reviews about the stiff hose. I concur wholeheartedly. The company responds by saying the hose will loosen up with time. What?? When you pay this much for a vacuum, it should be perfect! I also have had trouble with setting the vacuum upright and having the wheels lock, so it stays standing. This is something you should not have to think about. I do like the long cord and the amount the canister can hold. It sure beats the Shark I used to use. Lastly, it is tougher to maneuver than the last Dyson I had. I am a big guy, and it was work for me.
