    Excellent vacuum but the attached hose is quite awkward. It requires you to pull a very long pole and is difficult on the wrist for spot cleaning. Ease of upright vacuum is excellent.

    Great vacuum! I like the attachments and best of all it is good on carpets AND laminate floors. I’ve had several Dysons through the years and I’ve never been disappointed. If you have pets, this is the vacuum for you.

    By far the best Dyson I have owned! Has amazing suction and is quieter than the cordless version. I really enjoy the larger capacity bin over the cordless option as well. This one is German Shepherd dog parent approved!

    In a good way! My girl friend and I have 4 kids 10 and under, 3 large dogs, 2 cats and this Dyson handles them all! Best vacuum we’ve ever had!

    We hated that our previous Dyson Animal had reached the end of its useful life but were excited that a replacement was available. Unfortunately, right out of the box the unit weight compared to previous models made me skeptical and now I know why. The quality is now equally on par with much more inexpensive models with parts coming detached and issues with the usability with the handle and extensions. Dont waste your money! What a disappointment. I have always been willing to pay for better quality product but looks like Dyson has reduced themselves to just another overpriced vacuum.

The weight of the Ball Animal 2 (17.42 pounds) and Ball Animal 3 (17.33 pounds) is nearly identical. Our machines are still constructed from polycarbonate ABS, which is same material used in riot shields and crash helmets.     The vacuum has great suction, but its way too heavy to move around. I actually pull a muscle in my back while pulling it backwards before changing direction.
