The assembly instructions could be better. The need to completely and carefully unfurl the clear hose when using the wand is not discussed. Other than that, it works well. I love the way in which the canister ejects it’s contents…easily. Don’t neglect registering the vacuum on their website.

I’m pretty big on my cleanliness, and for some reason have always love to vacuum as a child. This is by far the best vacuum I’ve ever used! In the multi function tools, give it that added flair! Highly recommended for anyone in the market.

I love Dyson, which is why I purchased this to replace my current aging Dyson ball. However this one has a smaller head and doesn’t feel at sound as its predecessor! Still love Dyson thou

This is great for people who have dogs. Have German shepherds and I love the brush tool that comes with it. I clean once a week and use the tool on the dogs and I don’t have to vac every other day now.

Best vacuum I have ever owned, I will most certainly be a Dyson customer for life. What a great deal, too!

Vacuum does an amazing job cleaning up dog hair. We have never had a vacuum work this good. The quality is amazing!

3rd Dyson this lifetime. 6 dogs currently, 5 being husky/mix. Reliable and gets the job done every day. Smaller cleaner head than the last gen animal 2. Tried the high end Shark and returned it same day, it was a cumbersome piece of rubbish. Will purchase another Dyson in 5 years or so.

The vacuum cleans well in typical Dyson style, but functionally, we don’t like the “ball.” It is difficult to maneuver and is just generally clunky. Also, the handle does not stay locked in the upright position, making it difficult to step away from the vacuum when needed. I would buy another Dyson, just not this style.

1st time owning a Dyson upright vaccum and Im in love with it. The only reason Im giving it a 4 stars is because of the house. It does not want to expand or stretch as easily as it should. As soon as you turn on the vaccum to use it, it coils back together and you have to have good arms strength to use, lol. Other than that, I love it

Says it’s the best for pet hair and so far it’s been good for that. The base won’t stay up when you wheel it around. That’s the only down side to this vacuum.

My second Dyson, had the first for 17+ years. The plastic is a little cheaper than my original but it still works great! I also have a Dyson stick vac- love it! And have purchased Dyson vacs for my kids. Great machine!

Great vacuum I just missed the automatic, adjusting cleaner head on the animal 2. On the animal 3 you have to bend down and change floor height with a sliding switch on the cleaner head.

After owning a shark for seven years that finally gave out on me, I thought I'd give Dyson a try. I'm honestly appalled by the differences. The plastic for the Dyson is thin and flimsy, and the "ball" blows air that sends dog hair flying around my house. Functionality is horrible -- you have to use force to make it stand up, stop everything and bend over to change floor types, and go through a multi-step process to use the hose. The vacuum is also hard to maneuver in anything but a straight line and wouldn't go over my floor vents, so I have to lift it each time. The hose, when attached to the handle, sucks air when the vacuum is upright and sucks in my hair and clothing any chance it gets. Good luck trying to roll it somewhere that requires going over an uneven surface because the wheel system deploys, and the head slams to the ground... why would anyone want this? The process of vacuuming is already unpleasant enough without a machine that makes it that much harder. I went back and bought the new Shark to compare side by side and found the Shark to pick up more than the Dyson. With the lift-away feature, the Shark also reaches more areas than the Dyson. The only good thing about this product is the dog grooming tool. Save yourself the headache (and money) and buy a shark.

With Dyson it's proven that you get what you pay for. It's a great machine and was exactly what my husband wanted. We did a test vacuum on the living room rug and then went behind it with the Dyson. We had been leaving behind so much dog hair. Unbelieveable.

Not impressed. The head is much smaller than my previous Dyson. No foot release, which is extremely annoying due to the head releases when you are trying to carry it. Suction seems less powerful than my previous purple model. And as typical, the tubing is difficult to keep pulled out while in use. No issues with maneuvering.

I absolutely love this vacuum! I have a short hair boxer an she sheds a lot , this vacuum sucks up a ton of unseen dander an pet hair ! It also breaks up any hair that normally gets tangled. It’s worth every penny !

Absolutely love my Dyson. I have both a dog and a cat and it picks up the hair without any issues or tangling like I used to deal with on my old vacuum.

Works well but so heavy. I thought I would never get the cleaning head to stay attached. YouTube videos were necessary to get it put together since the written instructions were useless.
