If the machine is not staying upright on its own, it's usually an indication there is an obstruction within the change over valve and we will be happy to assist in ensuring it is working as intended.
If you are simply trying to move it from one location to another while, not in use and attempting to pull back on the handle to roll it, this is not how it is meant to be moved. It will need to be picked up by the handle of the cyclone when moving it while not in use.

I had to change the nozzle a couple of time which I paid almost same price of the vacuum in total. I strongly recommend keep away from it

We have mostly tile and wood flooring with some carpeting in two rooms, along with two area rugs. I thought this would be a good "main" vacuum while keeping the cordless as the "dust broom" for quick jobs. The compact design with clip-on attachment holder is slick, and the way the floor attachmentl anchors to the base of the canister for storage is just plain brilliant! Trying it out for the first time on a thick area rug, the suction was SO strong that it required the motorized head so I could move it over the rug. The thumb button that turns the power head on and off is absolute genius - no need to pause for even a moment to switch between carpet and hard floor. What's also cool about this vacuum is the trigger control for reduced suction, such as when you're cleaning drapes or not wanting to suck up loose thread ends of a rug. The trigger control is a simple loop built into the handle, easy to pull at a moment's notice. One other great convenience (there are plenty of others, but these were my little favorites) is the variable length of the wand for the floor attachment. This allows a taller user to be more comfortable, a smaller user to have the same comfort by adjusting the length to a comfortable "height" for using. It also may make it even easier to store in a smaller space. This is my first "big girl" Dyson, and I have to say that while it is a bit pricey, it is also freakin' remarkable! I think I just figured out what creates black holes in outer space! ;-)

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We replaced an aging Electrolux (we had for close to 15 years) with a Samsung that was a great replacement. When it died we went with the Dyson because of all of the positive reviews. We have now had THREE (3) Dyson's over the past 1.5 years. These machines are poorly built and the suction fades over time. The first one just stopped working. Plugged it in and nothing happened. The second lost all of the suction. I spent hours going through the manual, searching online forums and trying to figure out what was wrong. This third one, which is now also broken will not stop the rug brush from spinning. Again, hours with the manual/forums, removing and cleaning the brush, and nothing. My son used it to vacuum the floors with the brush spinning. There is a reason they tell you not to do that. Our hardwood floors now have scrape marks all over them downstairs. I intend to return this one (THANK GOODNESS for the Geek Squad Warranty) and get something that is hopefully not JUNK! Maybe we got the only 3 bad vacuums Dyson ever built...but what's the chance of that. Most likely people are reviewing this soon after purchase, when they still are satisfied customers...And no, we are not rough on our vacuums as can be seen by how long we had the Electrolux (which was used when we bought it) and the Samsung.

Not worth the price

The costumer service was great they send the replacement very quick. Now I am having problems with that multi floor head again! Brush won't turn off. Vacuum cleaner good for carpets but not good for flat surface at all. Very heavy, loud and takes lots off space. I was fool to buy this one instead of cord free.
