Picks up much more stuff than my old model. Great at removing pet hair from all surfaces. Would buy it again and recommended to friends and family.

I was hesitant to purchase because I assumed that the price tag was mostly about the brand name. I was wrong. This thing is great. Much more effective than any other vacuum I've used.

Dyson Installation & Documentation Failure

During installation I found it was broken. I called Dyson and while the person I talked to tried to do a little troubleshooting their solution was to return the Vacuum to Best Buy. I returned it and my Best Buy had a spare in stock. I brought that home and it too had a failure in installation, a different problem. I called Dyson and the person I talked to did zero troubleshooting, they told me to return it. I returned it to Best Buy and received a refund back. While the Dyson may have a good vacuum with good suction I have no idea. I do know the parts you have to put together for the Dyson is more than I ever put together for any other vacuum I've owned. The parts also seem to be cheaply made plastic for the most part. The installation instructions in the book are terrible and the installation video they reference in the book is not on the web site they say it is on, I finally found the video after clicking around the Dyson web site. I will never waste money on a Dyson product again.

This is very disappointing to hear. I'm happy to inform you that Dyson does include instructions in the box with your machine outlining how to complete the minimal assembly required with your machine. We also offer a quick start card on the machine itself, as well as have quick start videos available on the Dyson website. We also do make ourselves available to assist if ever needed, including our helpline contact info directly on our machines.
Also, rest assured, Dyson machines are made from polycarbonate ABS, which is same material used in riot shields and crash helmets. They are tough, so we subject them to 50,000 hours of testing and 550 individual tests – all to ensure that they can withstand a lifetime’s hard use. My only critic is that not enough information as to how to assemble completely is missing, Got the four clicks but couldn’t figure how to hold the hose and extension in place.

I’ve had a Dyson in the past & I wasn’t impressed. I tried it again becuz I got a good deal on it. Well, I absolutely love it. The ball is so easy to maneuver. Totally different than the traditional vacuum. Try it!

The new dysons not worth it. They changed the handle for the extended hose, it is a pain to get it put back into place at the handle. Considering returning it. Definately cheaper made flimsy plastic compared to older dysons. It also did not come with all the extra attachments as stated it has with it. Will no longer recommend a dyson to anyone since they are made cheaper now. Dyson needs to take a step back into time, when their vacuums were a great product!

Posted .Hi Paul, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you're not having a better experience thus far with your Ball Multi Floor Origin vacuum. With regard to placing the wand back into the hose, if the hose becomes twisted at all during use, the wand won't go back into place as it should. You can extend the wand, remove the hose, untwist that and put everything back into place.

Dyson Ball Vacuum - heavier than I thought.

It is a little heavier than I thought and the ball stops it from going under furniture but I also have a Dyson which I use when space too small.

Wish one battery could always be charging while another is in use, but not designed that way.

I had to look up a U2 video to be able to completely put it together.
