This is a very good vacuum. It picks up much more dirt than my previous one. The only negative is that it was a little tricky to assemble.

I was excited to try the Dyson Multifloor 2. My home has a a mixture of tile, hardwood, and area rugs so I was hopeful that it would prove effective on all these surfaces. I have used various vacuums over the years but none seem ideal for use on all three surfaces. Unboxing was easy enough. I was surprised at the size of the vacuum. Smaller then I would have thought. For assembling I referenced the photo assembly instructions. Pretty straightforward but I must say I struggled with some of the parts to get them connected. All together assembly still took no more than 10 minutes. I've always liked the look of Dysons. The Multifoor 2 doesn't disappoint in that sense. A stylish and futuristic looking unit. The build quality seems exceptional with solid parts and accessories. One note of possible disappointment is the upper cable hook holder for the cord. Just doesn't seem substantial enough to me. Maybe it will last forever. I was anxious to see what a Dyson could do so I fired it up. The motor sounds strong. Loud but not piercing or annoying. I started on my tile floors and then pushed the button for carpeting as I moved to an area rug. One can certainly sense the power of the suction particularly on carpeting. The size of the vacuum is great for accessibility around furniture. The ball design also proves excellent in regard to maneuverability of the unit. The Multifloor 2 is also lightweight enough that I didn't feel exhausted from use. I absolutely love the length of the power cord. Much longer than other vacuums I've owned. From prior frustrated experience I know immediately that this further reach will come in handy. As I complete a short test run I peer into the canister in amazement at the amount of dirt collected. I had vacuumed the same area rug only two days earlier with my old vacuum. I live in a clean home and vacuum weekly. I can honestly say I didn't expect to be impressed by a vacuum but the amount of crud pulled from my area rug was astonishing and somewhat disturbing. I could now understand the reputation of quality that Dyson has earned over the years. They sure aren't kidding when it comes to suction. I did notice that the packaging repeatedly prompts to clean the filter monthly I'm sure in an effort to preserve this superior suction. Emptying the canister is a breeze. I next tried the attachments. Being a novice I fumbled pulling out the hose. I'm sure this will come with time. The hose and attachments were super functional. I love the reach of the wand. Great to get ceiling corners, drapes, and light fixtures. I used the brush attachment on upholstery and was again very impressed by the suction and the exceptional cleaning ability of this Dyson. The Dyson Multifloor 2 performed exceedingly well on all my various floor surfaces. From hardwood to tile to area rugs I had a new sense of truly cleaning my home. Highly recommended.

This vacuum did a great job cleaning the rugs and our floors. We used to have a Kirby but this one is much easier to use and overall does a much better job.

Works really well ans is powerful especially on our carpet! Would definitely recommend this vacuum.

A little heavier than other uprights this size, and detachable wand is a little awkward. That said, this a great vacuum. Fantastic suction power. I couldn't believe how much dust it sucked up from carpet just vacuumed with old machine. Even removed gray filtration soiling from along baseboards! Easy to maneuver and get under furniture. The dual settings (carpet/floors) is a great feature and very easy to use.

Lightweight and powerful. Cleans floors like no vacuum I've ever had. Doesn't stand up well on its own, and I'm not a fan of the way the extendable hose works, but overall very good.

Got this vacuum to replace my old bagged vacuum and glad I did. This suction is great and is easy to empty and operate.

Light weight, easy to use, simple to assemble, and we will probably have it for 10 years. Good investment.

I bought this because it said it was multifloor, it worked great on wooden floors, short carpet and rugs but when we used it on a thicker carpet it was so powerful the suction wouldn't let us push it across the carpet. We returned it and got a Shark which worked on our carpet. Our old vacuum that died was a old Dyson and worked on the carpet, so I assume the newer model has more suction.

I was worried about spending this much on a vacuum, but it was definitely worth it! Easy to assemble, easy to use and works extremely well.

If you're looking for a vacuum with a lot of suction, this is it! Easy to maneuver, great on tile floors, but takes a bit of muscle on thicker carpet. It does a great job, though. It's not good for small doorway entry rugs, as it has too much suction. Very long hose for attachments. Follow the manufacturer recommendation to stretch it out overnight. I like this Dyson a lot better than our old, heavy upright.

I give this vacuum a 4 because the tank is small and fills up pretty quick and must empty several times if your vacuuming several rooms. Overall, vacuums well with little effort.

We have 2 Dyson uprights from 10-12 years ago, and they both are still working like new. (One of the older ones went to our summer lake house.) The new one pushes and turns much easier than the older model, but the suction is still outta this world. (My daughter swears it pulls dirt out of the crawl space under the house.) The dust bin is easy to empty and the whole assembly can be easily broken down to be washed. I can't see buying any other type of vacuum.

I have seen my fair share of negative reviews on this vacuum but had dyson that went out after 8 years and I used this new one one time and it was like I never vacuumed with all the dirt it picked up/ I was surprised and pleased with the results. I was going to get a shark but the build quality on this felt better and over all this was great vacuum and to clean this it was easy and satisfying. I would recommend.
