Doesn't work on some rugs and carpet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this for 8 months now, and we had only used it on laminate flooring before moving. Now we also have rugs. The vacuum had stuck itself to the laminate once at our previous house from the suction, but now it cannot roll over rugs at all without getting stuck. I took it to the service center when a Dyson customer service rep told me it was "unfortunate" my "multi-floor" vacuum only worked on the tile and wood in my house, but that Dyson would not do anything to replace it. The technician removed a gasket and said it would help. Now I'm able to push it about 10 inches onto a rug before it sticks itself to it and starts pulling the rug up. I only bought this unit because it was supposed to be compatible with all types of flooring, so I'm very disappointed in its performance. I thought Dyson's customer service would be surprised at this since it's a multi-floor unit, but the rep I spoke with didn't seem confused or surprised by this issue at all and just told me she was super sorry I'd have to buy a different vacuum within a year of purchasing a "top of the line" Dyson.
