Good but heavy vacuum cleaner

The suction is not adjustable. Adjustable suction would make it easier to use the machine on smaller area rugs. The machine works very well on bare floors and large area rugs.

A bit expensive but if it lasts longer than my last vacuum it will be worth the price. Look for sales to save or use your Best Buy credit card to defer interest in payments to save more money.

However, she wore me down and we finally purchased one. It is as good as everyone describes and completely made me a believer in Dyson products. Fantastic purchase!!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Dyson Ball Multifloor 2 Bagless Upright Vacuum since it received high ratings from a respected non-profit consumer product testing and reporting organization. To be sure, the vacuum is very powerful and is easy to maneuver. However, the "instant release wand" has limited flexibility and is often difficult to angle the way you want. The dust cup also must be emptied much more frequently than other bagless vacuum cleaners I have had in the past and the vacuum is not very stable when placed in its upright position as it has a tendency to fall over. Finally, the unit seems cheaply constructed, not that I have run into any issues, but I wonder how durable the product will be in the long run. Putting all of the aside, so far, it has worked like a charm and cleans better than any other vacuum cleaner I have ever had. There's a lot to be said for that!

With regard to putting your machine in to the upright position, there will generally be two clicks that you should get when putting the vacuum into the upright position. These clicks are not always noticeable unless put into the upright position at a slower speed. I would recommend putting the unit into the upright position at a slower pace in order to listen to the clicks that occur in order to troubleshoot the problem. One click will be the wheels of the vacuum going into place. The second click will be the wheels locking into place. It is important to ensure the second click occurs as without the second click, stabilizer wheels are not able to lock securely into place.
