Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're glad to hear that in your use, you have been pleased with the suction that the Ball Multi Floor 2 offers. Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 offers 245 air watts of powerful suction, along with our Dyson Ball technology, which makes it easier to steer into different places with a simple turn of a wrist. Your machine will also feature a wand and extension hose for use with cleaning up high, under furniture and in hard to reach areas. Attachments may be used on both the wand as well as directly on the hose for added versatility.
With regard to keeping the machine locked upright, there will generally be two clicks that you should get when putting the vacuum into the upright position. These clicks are not always noticeable unless put into the upright position at a slower speed. I would recommend putting the unit into the upright position at a slower pace in order to listen to the clicks that occur in order to troubleshoot the problem. One click will be the wheels of the vacuum going into place. The second click will be the wheels locking into place. It is important to ensure the second click occurs as without the second click, stabilizer wheels are not able to lock securely into place.

Had a small issue with it when a friend broke a piece, but took it to the Dyson dealer in town and they fixed it free of Charge and cleaned it out while it was there.

I can literally feel the carpet being sucked up to a greater degree than my last Dyson which was the last version of The Multi Floor. Love the golden and yellow color scheme!

I have cats, dogs & kids , we use our sweeper every day! Dyson is durable .

I needed a smaller one since we have downsized our living. The cleaning power is amazing love all the features. My only problem with this model is that it does not always stay in the upright position.

I have been very happy with its capabilities in the time I have been using it for various types of duties.

Wish it had the self rewind for the electric cord like the old Electrolux. Other than that this thing is awesome!

Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're glad to hear that the Ball Multi Floor 2 was working so well for you. Performance wise, the Multi Floor 2 and Animal 2 are fairly similar. The Multi Floor model is a bit smaller, and has 245 air watts of suction power, compared to 270 air watts in the Animal. If you have thicker, more plush, or shag type carpeting in the home, or area rugs not fixed down to the floor beneath, you might find that the Animal 2 has too much suction and therefore can make the machine hard to push.

It works great, I can vacuum my tile floor, the wood floors and the carpets with ease. The swivel handle is a great feature. The accessory handle is very convenient but not as long as I would like.

The handle wouldn’t go all of the way down at first. Had to eventually slam it through to break whatever flashing was blocking it.
