Poor Longevity

Over the past four (4) years of ownership, I had to take it to a Dyson repair shop for bad switches, as well as perform my own repairs. Not recommended for longevity. I could buy two (2) $150 vacuums over this period of time and be better served. They are selling a brand, not a quality product.

Great Vacuum from a Great Company

Besides this, it is a very heavy vacuum and doesn’t move easily from floor to rugs. The canister has to emptied after each room and filters have to be cleaned on these every month. The good news is Dyson has great customer service and stands behind their products and is getting me something that will work for me.

I'm sorry to hear that you've found the machine to be heavy to use, as well as hard to push on your carpeting. Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 offers 245 air watts of powerful suction, along with our Dyson Ball technology, which makes it easier to steer into different places with a simple turn of a wrist. Your machine will also feature a wand and extension hose for use with cleaning up high, under furniture and in hard to reach areas. Attachments may be used on both the wand as well as directly on the hose for added versatility.
Dyson ball upright vacuums - including the Ball Multi Floor 2, have an active base plate which self-adjusts to create optimal contact with every floor type. This reduces air leaks and retains more suction power at the cleaner head. Dyson cleaner heads have been designed to maintain optimal contact with flooring to help ensure the best performance across both hard floors and carpet. As a result, while we don't expect problems to occur and experiences can vary from home to home, some high pile carpets may fill in the cleaner head resulting in an airtight seal.

Posted .Hi there, this is Krystal with Dyson. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on the Dyson Ball Multifloor 2. I am sorry to hear about the difficulties with the hose. The hose can be stiff for the first few uses. This will loosen over time, with more use.
Bathroom rugs, tend to be light and when a rug is not fixed to the ground, it can lift into the vacuum. Therefore, we do not recommend vacuuming such rugs.
