The suction is amazing as I have 5 pets and what looked to be a clean carpet told me otherwise after using this. The machine is not to heavy and very easy to control. It works very well on carpets and laminate floors. The only negatives for me is it is a little on the loud side compared to my other Dyson vacuum. I also could not find a place on the unit to store the attachments. Great unit by Dyson once again.

It's powerful and works great EXCEPT that the piece that attaches at the base that actually does the work keeps falling off. The clip-on locking system does not lock well enough. The slightest side-swipe against the wall or furniture knocks it off.
