Specs are Wrong

We have a multilevel home and in my opinion we are best served by a cordless model .It’s easier to carry it between levels and I didn’t want to deal with rolling it up .She wasn’t convinced the cordless model was powerful enough . I finally gave in because the specs say this model had a retractable cord. Unfortunately that’s incorrect .I was so ticked when I unpacked it and found it had a traditional cord I was ready to return it .I lost that argument as well .Please change the specs so someone else doesn’t make the same mistake

I can confirm that the only machines we carry with retractable cords are the canister models. Our uprights do have a cord which wraps and stores along the length of the wand. Don’t buy Dyson and be cautious of Best But!

I never used it because It was difficult to assemble. Dyson, did nothing to help. After going to Best Buy, to see a floor model, I discovered the issue. I returned it. The customer service person applied to a leasing company 2 times on my behalf, without my permission nor knowledge. This experience was horrible.

Stopped Working

After a few days of use the roller stopped working. Returned it to Best Buy. I ended up ordering a different model.

The Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 features Dyson ball technology, which allows for easy navigation with the turn of a wrist. The vacuum's key components have been engineered to fit inside of the ball itself, giving this machine it's sleek, streamlined profile. The cleanerhead on this machine is self-adjusting, meaning that it raises and lowers to seal in suction across all floors. On thicker or more plush carpeting, the brush bar may sense the carpeting as an obstruction, which is causing your brush bar to stop.

Heavy, loud!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i had a cordless V6 that stopped working(we fixed it and now it works again thank god) but purchased this when i thought i didn’t have a vacuum anymore. Guess i am so used to cordless that this thing was massive, heavy, and SOOOOO much louder. It picked up fine, but the ease and accessibility of the cordless is amazing and i returned this ball vacuum the next day. I never wanted to vacuum with this big one. It was easy to put together tho. Just not easy to pick up quick messes and go around the house like the V6. When my v6 craps out i’ll see stick with the cordless for sure and you should too !

Its ok

Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Your vacuum will feature a quick recline feature. This will avoid the need for pedals or stepping on the front of the machine as with our non-ball models. Rolling the unit around from room to room is recommended to be done with the ball instead of the stabilizer wheels on the back of the ball. Very powerful

There is only automatic hight adjustment so you cant adjust it for a new carpet and it will wind up getting stretched out from all the pulling.

It is very unusual to hear that your machine is clogging, and therefore losing suction, regularly in your everyday use. That being said, frequent obstructions in your machine may occur as a result of poor airflow, which can happen due to an existing obstruction or dirty filters. I am happy to let you know that most blockages are simple to remove and we find that most problems may be resolved through simple, yet effective troubleshooting at home. Who knew a vacuum could be so good?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is the first Dyson product I’ve ever owned. After a few weeks of use, I’m impressed. From out of the box to up and running must have been less than ten minutes. After double checking everything, I fired up the vacuum cleaner. Was a bit louder than I expected, but I suppose loud is good when you are talking about suction power. As I walked around the house, I could see a bunch of lint and other random dust starting to enter the chamber. I like that you can actually see if your vacuuming is doing anything useful. Going forward I found that being able to see in the canister is a huge benefit in knowing when to empty your vacuum. With my old vacuum, I would just keep vacuuming away and never really know when I was getting near that full threshold. It took me a couple cleaning cycles to get used to driving the vacuum. If you’ve never driven a Dyson ball it can feel a little bit disjointed at first. Eventually you will become an expert in controlling the device. It really can turn on a dime. My home is mostly hardwood floors with a couple of area rugs thrown around. Was pretty cool to see the vacuum automatically adjust to the different surfaces. I guess you could call the Dyson a “smart-vac” My home is three levels and the stairs are hardwood as well. Pulling out the wand was super easy. Much easier than other vacuums I’ve previously used. Putting it back in was something I didn’t master on the first cleaning but after a couple days I was an expert. The wand had excellent reach. Great to get those cobwebs on ceiling corners. I used the brush attachment on our couch and was able to easily pull out lots of crumbs the kids had created eating on the couch. I was able to clean my largest room without having to disconnect the power cord. Having such a long power cord is something every vacuum should have but most don’t. Being able to see the amount of dirt you collect will also have you emptying your canister more often. This probably lends itself to better cleaning. I loved how there were no bags involved. It was great that many of the filters and parts can just be rinsed clean with water. Dyson recommended doing this a monthly basis. Not sure how vigilant I will be over the long haul. A 5-year parts and labor warranty with lifetime support is another great benefit of buying a Dyson. I see Dyson out on social media trying to answer everyone’s questions. Nice to see a company making sure their customers are happy. Would find the model best for your home as each serves different purposes. Worth giving a try.

Not for plush carpet!

Disappointing Buy

And it's advertised to be bale to do exactly that. It would suck so hard that it would get stuck. even pulled my brand new installed carpet up off the ground. So if you use it for some other purpose i'm sure it's fine. But not for thick carpet.
