It worked fine on all but one of our rugs. That one wasn’t especially longer or thicker than the others. The vacuum brush just stopped spinning on this rug. Very disappointed.

Can't hold up to household cleaning for a year!

Purchased in April 23, 2020, lasted until January 22, 2021 before whatever switches the air intake from the accessory handle to the powered cleaning head. Accessory handle still had vacuum, but it simply would not switch back to the head. This vacuum is severely lacking in the quality that I expected from Dyson in the past. The vacuum seems woefully engineered...completely in plastic... Don't get the Bestbuy warranty, my coverage was $49.99, and when exercised...BESTBUY CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO now refuses to pro-rate the warranty!!! I had to purchase a $59.99 warranty. It's no longer worth the value for the warranties!!!

Useless vacuum

There is no way the many, many positive reviews are real. Firstly, it is cheap plastic and feels like it can break at any time. The "attachments" do not attach to the vacuum. The vacuum sucks up any area rugs so forget trying to use it on them. There is no way to adjust the height of the vacuum. We bought this in April and it already died in November. Attempts to get this returned have been unsuccessful. Do not buy this vacuum!!!

Broke after 16 days

And best of all best buy only accepts exchanges up to 15 days. Now I get to jump through the hoops with Dyson to try and get something worked out. Best buy is the only place I shop. But this is a big let down. Big 2 thumbs down for this Lemon they sold me. What out for this Dyson!

Everything in the unit is flimsy. I thought about returning it but figured it would at least last a while. I bought this in April 2019 and the sweep went out June 2020. Looking for help on YouTube, it seems it’s a problem on most Dyson models. I never had this issue even with cheaper off brand products. I’m very disappointed.

Not a Happy Purchase

I own a cordless Dyson and I love it so much. I will never be without it...ever! But this one lost its suction in days and I could not figure out what was wrong. The onboard tools are not easy to use at all. If you are reaching up to vacuum then the wand isn't terrible. But I need to reach down into tight spaces like most people, not up. The wand is not agile at all. It's awkward and uncomfortable. It hardly extends enough to be worth it. I appreciate that I was able to return it and get a vacuum I am happy with -- different brand and I saved $200.

Thank you for your review. This is Miella from Dyson. We're sorry to hear of your experience with your Ball Multi Floor 2 upright machine. The Ball Multi Floor 2 was designed with a flexible hose and an extendable wand to help reach hard-to-reach places both high and low.
Out-the-box, the hose can be stiff since it is newer plastic. However, after several uses, you'll find it becomes much more flexible. The wand can be removed, if needed, and you can connect any tool to the hose opening.
We hope that you continue to consider Dyson products in the future.

I had a great chance to compare this product with a shark complete upright vaccum. As far as tbe suction power both tied up with leaa noice from shark. I had to take one star off from Dyson because I felt shark is more easy to handle and featurea v/s price. Over all I am satisfied with Dyson vaccum and I recommend this product.

As a loyal Dyson product owner, I expected nothing but the best from this product as well. However, after only 9 months of using - it no longer has any suction from the base. I have done all the cleaning, troubleshooting, and online video tutorials to know this vacuum is broken. I would not have paid $400+ for machine that doesn't last a year. Extremely disappointed with my purchase.

The plastic piece that holds the special attachments to the unit snapped off of the vacuum very easily. It's only slightly more maneuverable than standard vacuums. The hose extension is built into the hose making use of it awkward, particularly in tight spaces. And after just two and a half years of moderate use I now only have suction through the hose. Will be trying to get this replaced rather than fixed if possible. Very unhappy with this purchase.

Even though it is lightweight, it still provides suction like a full size upright at 250 air watts.

Great Vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So I unboxed the Dyson today and it was a snap to put together. The instructions are a bit hard to visualize based on the illustrations of the tool holder, but one look at the photo on the box took care of that. I own the DC07 animal also and there are a number of pros that this model has over it's predecessor. The tools tuck nicely into the left side of the unit, down low instead of on the back of the handle. I also like that the hose attachment is separate from the handle and attaches low so it doesn't kink when you are edging the baseboards like the DC07. The long cord is handy for doing multiple rooms without having to move from outlet to outlet. If there is one downside to the ball, it's that it doesn't lock very well. It takes very little effort to pop the handle down which in turn has the unit falling over rather easily. I personally think that it still needs a foot/toe release, not just a tug. All in all, I think I will enjoy using this unit over the old one.
I would recommend this to a friend Dyson is over hyped.

Good vacumm, bad quality

It’s heavy, scratches the floors and didn’t come with any accessories and also I can’t use the accessories from other dysons with it. I give up on this brand. They have so much potential but at every turn there’s another hundred dollars needed to make their product function. Oh also, it pushed a piece of pet kibble across the floor. A broom can do that.
